The only way we get a 2016 1st in the process is trading the pick and then another asset. No way we get a 1st next year and a pick this year. We could get a 2nd and 4th, maybe a 5th trading down.

To get another #1,  you'd have to trade down so far you'd pass right by guys like Dorsett and Jones.

 

You'd likely have to drop a full round to the bottom of the 2nd.

I think it is best to stay exactly where we are at. If there is a deal that is just too good to pass that is a possibility. Sometimes when a team reaches for one player they lose ground farther down the line.

Yup.  Trading down into the top of round 2 would likely only get us a round 4 pick.

Right, the only way we'd get a 2016 1st rounder without giving up additional assets would be a scenario that does not include us getting an additional 2nd round pick. There's just no way we'd get both without giving up something else in return.
