I didn’t see enough in Brock on the road to suggest that he can get it done consistently in the playoffs without that D being completely healthy and buzzing.

This may be a case of the D carrying the team the rest of the way for the 49ers.

If it comes close to a shootout, it will be tough for him to make plays but as it stands he does well enough to keep the offense moving at least few drives every game.

In the modern NFL they don’t let Ds play, that’s the issue. The 2013 Seahawks and 2015 Broncos would be penalized left and right now. So the games favor the offenses more and teams that can put up 25 plus points consistently are at an advantage every time.

Seahawks D is really trash. Say what you want about the Colts D, we haven’t blown an assignment this badly like they did vs Kittle on that 2nd TD mainly because we have sound guys back there.

Their D was hardly trash. Yeah they blew an assignment or two but in general played well, esp given how gimpy their O was most of the game.

League needs to revisit this roughing the passer call.

How does one sack a QB without having to fall over, no one that heavy could stop mid-flight and not press on the qb a bit. The defensive lineman also has to look to strip sack, and in that process, there's no way the DL can give up the sack process without completing the motion, which would involve pressing on the QB as he falls down to save the ball from being stripped.

This is an example of making a rule change, without thinking through how it impacts the game, how it can be interpreted and how it can be possibly even done in this sport.

At the same time, where could they draw the line when the QB gets unnecessarily roughed up? I guess, if the body weight falls on the QB during the process of a sack, they should let it happen. If it happens, clearly a second after either the QB has already thrown the ball or has gone down trying to protect the ball, then it could be ruled against the defense. It's going to be iffy anyway we put it, but as the refs interpret right now, it makes it impossible for the defense to sack a QB without invoking the penalty - that's ridiculous, and the refs don't even check if the defensive player puts his  hand on the ground to stop himself from weighing heavily on the QB, as Nick Bosa seemed to have done today.

Not sure if I was Seattle I would pay Geno. But I hope they do lol.

Seahawks are a smart organization, they’re probably going QB with the Broncos pick:

Geno has cooled down to the JAG level since week 5. The Seahawks saw that with RW’s level and shipped him out on time.

Now Tyler Lockett is out for the season with a broken finger. Colts have to root for Broncos to get a few wins. Rooting for them against both the Cardinals and Rams as their last 2 winnable games

All indications they are working on a extension for Geno and they aren’t taking a QB.

It is possible it is a short one and they get a raw project rookie QB to go with it. This also means they are more likely to take a QB with their 2nd first rounder than the 1st first rounder, which would benefit us.

We will see how it unfolds. To be safe, I'd still want the Broncos to win a couple more games. :)

Well colts have a win win this weekend with cardinals playing at broncos. Wilson aad limited yesterday but still in protocol. Not sure broncos have a chance to win any other game beside this weeks.

maybe immediately they could make a roughing the passer penalty only 5 yards or 10 yards from the spot of the foul.
