Training camp dates set

Recommended Posts

I can't wait for the season, this year is flying by which has been good. The way we ended last season has left a sour taste in my mouth for months. Time to put it behind us and move on finally. I am so glad we got Matt Ryan and traded Wentz. We have the team on paper to do a lot of good things, lets see if it happens. I like our schedule better to start the season compared to last season as well. Last seasons schedule had 1-3 written all over it when it came out, this season has 3-1 at worse. To me the start is very important, then if you struggle in the middle you can because you have a cushion, then finish strong and get hot.

Colts to host 16 open training camp practices

Myles Simmons

With Carson Wentz out and Matt Ryan in at quarterback, there should be plenty of intrigue for Colts training camp this summer.

Fortunately for Indianapolis fans, there will be plenty of opportunities to see the new quarterback in action.

The Colts announced on Wednesday that they’ll host 16 open practices at the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Ind.

The complex is located about 20 miles north of Indianapolis.

Camp opens on Wednesday, July 27 and runs through Thursday, Aug. 18. Practices begin at noon, with the exception of a night practice on Saturday, July 30.

“We are thrilled to be returning to Westfield and Grand Park for another summer of Colts Training Camp,” Colts vice chair and owner Kalen Jackson said in a statement. “After two years of living with strict health protocols, we’re so happy this year’s Training Camp will resemble camps of the past when it comes to fan activities and player interaction.”

The Colts will host the Lions for a pair of practices on Wednesday, Aug. 17 and Thursday, Aug. 18 in advance of the preseason matchup between the two teams on Saturday, Aug. 20.

While Indianapolis’ training camp is free to attend, fans have to obtain a ticket for the event on the team’s website.

    • Do have edge Laiatu Latu (UCLA) as a senior where in Week 1 he had an impressive outing with 3 sacks, 3 hits and 4 hurries to earn 93.9 PFF pass-rushing grade earning 2023 PFF TOW 1 honors.  DL Leonard Taylor III, Miami Hurricanes, Sophomore was another player deeper on my watch list that I left off who earned 2022 PFF TOW 8 honors.   Good find on Roman Hembry of Maryland.  Averaging over 5 yards per carry and 9+ yards per catching.  Impressive stat line from 2022 and seems to be repeating for 2023.      WR-Z Adonai Mitchell (Texas), Junior.  Missed 9 games in 2022 due to an ankle injury.  Impressive one-handed catch in the National Championship game where he played for Georgia in 2022.  Risk/reward potential as could see his draft stock rise if he remains healthy.  Will he declare for the draft or risk another injury?
    • I'll agree on the mid-season but his reset really helped and Heyward was a gold glover, not expecting that from Seiya.  It was a bad miss by him, but it shouldn't have been a matter. The Cubs blew it with Ross poor decision is my biggest issue. Since it seems like PCA is only there for D, who brings him in so early. Like I just can't figure out how ross is this dumb. I'm hoping he's fired after season especially if they miss Ross is biggest weakness. He taxed bullpen super early in year
    • @LJpalmbeacher2,   I would still be weary of putting Cincy that high. I get it though because of the last 2 years and Burrow is great. Burrow to me doesn't look near 100% healthy though. I still think the Ravens win that division.
    • That was a damaging loss to say the least. Up 6-0 and can't hold it. I have been saying all year that the 1 weakness we have is our Bullpen. We have trouble holding leads and have lost way too many 1 run games.
