One team has a motto that has proven to be successful. That motto is "Next man up". A team is not 11 players on each side of the ball.

Is actually an NFL motto too.  Football is violent collision sport, and all teams suffer injuries.  In each and every case, the coach says  "That is football, injuries are part of the game.  Next man up."

Quite often the quality of tier 2 players, and how quickly tier 1 players return to health point toward who will do well in the season and possibly post season.  A talented 1st string team that is in the trainers room with below average 2nd tier players on the field isn't all that good a team.  That is why all 53 are so important to grade and teach job specifics   Bill Belichick is quite good at it, and can still teach backups how to work together t

o take away an opponents biggest strength and make them go to option #2.

If we can have Cromartie and Butler at CB along with Adams and Geathers at Safety, we'll be good to go.

Butler is good at corner? He's mediocre on his best day and he's apparently not healthy.  Geathers has proven nothing yet and isn't healthy.... and there's no depth behind these guys and Butler and Adams are ancient.  If we manage to be in this game late, I hope Pagano has learned time management skills....

elaborate?

I see matchups we can exploit on the other personnel outside of Talib, Roby, and Harris. We have some good matchups on the front 3, but theres also stuff we can do on their other guys. Think we will also have to use lot of max protection and big packages. Some that require a third tight end. Out of a power running formation you can matchup an unknown guy like Swoope on one of their linebackers and burn them with some play action passing. Utilize some formations that can exploit tight end matchups we have on their linebackers.
