So much talent left on the board at #28; might entertain the idea of moving up

Not saying we will or absolutely have to, but Wow! It is certainly interesting to think about.

Just throwing it out there; our 2nd (#48) and 3rd (#82) gets us to #31, which Seattle currently owns.

From my perspective,  with so much talent on the board,  that typically means less reason to move-up.   With that much talent, you can stay there and a good player falls to you.

Teams often move-up with a law of supply and demand.     Not enough talent, then you have to trade-up and go get it.

I hope we don't trade up....

I normally would agree with you, but right now we are staring at two defensive tackles who would normally be top 15 picks.

We may never get a chance to get a defensive tackle of that caliber. Remember all of those Peyton years when we never drafted high enough to get a defensive tackle?

We also have the best ILB still on the board. He should have went top 20.

Hell, even if we want to wait a little bit and move up higher in the second, we can grab Whitehair. LOL That would be a great draft!

3 of the guys you listed will mathematically be on the board for our 2nd pick, most likely more.... so why trade?

Me?      I want defense,  defense and more defense.....

But that may be just me....     I know there's a push for another OL and a RB.....

I'm not in that camp....

I am not saying we should move up. I am just saying that if we do then it is certainly justified.

Save the picks.  There's no talent at the end of round one that won't be there equally at 48.

I completely disagree with the bolded.

There are 3 top 15-20 talents on that board.

And if someone took a flier on Jack, and it paid off; then they might have a top 3 talent.

I am okay with saving the picks though.

We should trade up for Spence. If we could do that and still keep our 3rd this year we would come out of this draft MAJOR winners. Then grab Westerman, Johnson, etc in the 3rd. Perfect.

You know, I have not been a huge fan of drafting Spence in the first round.

That said, I think it would be smart to move up in the early second round to get him.

I'd say this list bodes well for the Colts, regardless of whether they move up or not.

I'd move up for Jack :peek:price (and health) dependent obviously...I also like Reed...and Billings/Spence...Robinson/Dodd..........Alexander...if certain players start to fall, and the cost of moving up to them makes sense (dependent on which guy), I'd be all for it.  I also know that we can hang back and still get a quality guy....but there are a few high quality guys IMO that are worth consideration
