Mock Draftable Measurable Charts

Recommended Posts

I just realized I haven't ever seen these awesome things posted here before.

http://mockdraftable.com/players/2015/

You can click on most players who have participated in the combine since '99 and have a visual of their combine performance in relation to their peers. The larger the web, the more athletic the player. The smaller the web.......

It also has a list on the side for the players closest comparison (based on measurable) It doesn't compare skill, but it's fun to see who the players athletic doppelganger is.

Examples: Aaron Donald's comparison was Geno Atkins.

Here's Bjoern Werner's awful web: http://mockdraftable.com/player/4288/

Thanks for sharing the site. It's pretty awesome, especially seeing all of the obscure players that these guys match up with, but also some of the stars too. Shows the physical potential for some, even if the on field product isn't completely polished.

Yeah, but there's some context. Johnson has 3" and 30 lbs on Moncrief and didn't run the lateral agility drills. Still, Moncrief is a physical freak.

30 pounds?

My understanding is Johnson is 235.

Moncrief is 220.    A difference of 15 pounds.

Is Johnson now playing at 250?   If so,  first I've heard of it......

I didn't know their exact weights. I thought Moncrief was 210 and Johnson was 240. No biggie.

Can't remember which site, but Moncrief is in the same realm as Johnson, Julio Jones, and a couple other athletic freaks. Calvin Johnson was very firmly at the top across the board, but that's good company to keep.

I think Stephen Hill was in the mix, also, so it's not really an indication of pro success, but still.

If there's any position these don't apply to, it's QB.

Lol 2nd on Calvin Johnson is Moncrief.

That's the article I was talking about. You've probably seen it already...

Point is, players with his combination of measurables generally have good pro production. Unless they're Stephen Hill, and Moncrief pretty much did in 2014 what Hill did 2012 and 2013 combined.

    • So damn classy as always. I still rewatch their pandemic golf game from 2020. They just have awesome chemistry together. Hopefully they can get Tom on the Manningcast again for more hilarity.
    • Uuuugh.     I think it would’ve been better if I had preached a healthy dose of patience and NOT patients.
    • Feel the need to clarify something.   The writer of the article, Bob McGinn, is one of the top-10 football writers there is.  (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) McGinn does NOT have an opinion on Mitchell.  It’s the unnamed scouts who have the negative opinions.  McGinn is quoting them which is his job.  He is supposed to do that.     Ballard even acknowledged that in his own way.  He literally said “put your name on it!”   Well, McGinn’s name IS on it.  it’s his column.   But it’s the scouts who are saying things anonymously.   If there’s an issue, (if) it’s with them, not McGinn.
    • And when/if a team signs one of those safeties they’ll be made to look like a genius while Ballard is called a fool.    I think what’s more likely is that an injury will inevitably happen and a team will bring in an available free agent. That could be training camp. That could early in the season. You just never know.
    • But if the Colts sign someone next week or the week after then it really doesn’t matter.    I would’ve preferred we sign some two weeks ago.   Get them familiar with the DC and position coach.   But once we didn’t then it really doesn’t matter when.  It just matters that we do it before camp opens.  At least to me.    And the fact no one else is signing these top FA safeties tells me the market just isn’t there yet.   I’m preaching a healthy dose of patients.
