Terry And Jim Pegula reached an agreement with to purchase the Buffalo Bills, ending a 55-year old ownership from the late Ralph C. Wilson, Jr, and the Wilson Family Trust for just over $1.1 billion.  Both Pegulas currently own the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL, and are seeking to build a new, domed, stadium in Downtown Buffalo, next to the Sabres home arena and ice, the First Niagara Center.  :nfl:

Terry And Kim Pegula were the favorites to be the new owners of  the Bills, assuring the Bills will both stay in Western New York, and have their new domed stadium in Buffalo, both  to the delight and relief in  the region, Metro Buffalo and Niagara Falls areas, and Bills fans. :pass:

Both Pegulas also outbid Jon Bon-Jovi and his ownership group, eliminating concerns the Bills would be moved around Lake Ontario to Toronto, Ontario, in Canada.

Rest of the NFL owners and executives still have to review the sale, but it looks like the Pegulas purchase of the Buffalo Bills will be approved by the NFL.  :nfl:

Bummer- I'll miss the Buffalo open field.

Bills fans are hard nose. I wonder if they want a dome

I have to imagine a dome is better than getting frostbite on your nose and butt. I prefer domes personally, but I get the people who like outdoor fields.

frostbite weather is pretty rare to fall on a game day. We had it once in Boston of all the years and fans did wear ski masks.

Now a stadium in Alaska would be a different story :)

uh oh- I can see it now- the Alaskan Huskies

BTW- it's not that I'm in to the tough guy mentality- I just think outdoors is more picturesque.

Hooray for another billionaire owning another sports team to rub it in your faces with his ultra wealth!

:disco:

You should move to a socialist or communist country.

Who did he rub it in the face of? The people in buffalo love him for saving the team from being moved.. Maybe do some research before being ignorant

Great news! I think some sort of hybrid roof or dome stadium is a good idea there. I mean Buffalo isnt exactly an easy draw for fans come december and while I love outside football games its getting harder and harder to convince fans to forgo their comfy big screen and couch and go to a hot/freezing stadium. Glad to hear they are staying put!
