:blueshoe:   Does the rivalry between the Colts - and - Patriots have less significance now that Andrew Luck is our QB - instead of Peyton Manning ??  :blueshoe:

Considering Brady may retire in 2-3 years and Luck may peak around that time or later, it may not be a major rivalry in a couple of years. Interestingly all the other good young QBs are in NFC and Luck will not have a rival unless maybe Texans take Johnny Football?

Manning and Brady made the rivalry. Luck may never have similar foe. We are at the end of stuff of legends.

I disagree with that sentiment completely GD. Manning & Brady established the rivalry yes, but if Luck continues to take strides forward, there is no reason to believe that the Colts/NE rivalry cannot be renewed or at least re-invented.

It's all about post season competition & great QBs always rise to the top in certain franchises regardless of jersey name changes. No disrespect toward 18, but at some point, he will retire & the NFL & her fans must keep moving forward.

If the league believed that it would have crumbled after Montana Marino, Kelly, & Elway retired. The beat for greatness always goes on. It never stops.
