Meaning the grading system he quoted isn't subjectice. It's just raw numbers.

 

Pass rush productivity is basically QB hits+hurries+sacks divided by the number of times that player pass rushed. Hits and hurries are weighed less tho. 

 

Run stop percentage is the number of tackles for 2 yards or less divided by the number of run plays he was on the field for.

 

Ex. On Sunday Angerer is on the field for 28 run plays and makes 5 tackles of 2 yards or less. His run stop percentage for that game is 17.8%. 

 

He also blitzes 5 times and gets a sack and 2 QB hits. His PRP for that game is 50. 

 

3 plays in the first half when the announcer claimed Angerer was in on the play, he actually had ZERO to do with the stop.

Makes me wonder if PFF does this too.
