why is Luck still wearing a sleeve on his knee?

Its mental comfort. Its like gloves for some WRs - it just helps you curb ur fear.

If he always plays with a brace, it would feel weird to practice with nothing on it.

Yes, it just a psychological security blanket like Linus's blanket in the Charlie Brown cartoon. If it puts Andrew at ease & helps him win games, I am cool with it. At least, no live chicken has be sacrificed before every NFL game or anything like that.

Because it would look stupid on his head?

  :funny:  lmao  Short, sweet, & oh so true BHC my friend. I always like snappy, clever, & accurate replies. Well done sir!  :worthy:

If you've ever seen Conan OBrien [FX's & SW1's favorite late night comedian] He always puts on audience member's hat's in the front row at his show & a comedy skit involving a famous french designer's brother always puts crazy hats on from Paris too.

Andrew's knee brace situation/ritual makes me wonder what the most superstitious professional sport is. Hockey & baseball are near the top, but has the NFL gained any new ground in the bizarre practices department or not? I have no idea. Just thinking outloud...Keeping a winning streak alive makes NFL players grow beards, grow long hair, & do anything to keep dropping W's man...

Kenny Mayne on ESPN should do a funny story on this with Larry David from "Curb Your Enthusism" as his helpful sidekick. Ha! Ha! I can see the Emmy TV Award ceremony now.

I agree..  I would not be disappointed if Luck wore "knee braces" on BOTH knees every game and practice.

Same reason Manning wore a knee brace for years.  Precaution.  It can't hurt and in fact might help so why not?

I keep waiting for the day when knee braces cram logos on their product like a NASCAR racing racing team suit. Gatorade, Under Armor, Nike, American Family Insurance...I can picture it now...The official cup worn by Andrew Luck...Companies will stamp their name on anything & I do mean anything if a famous celebrity or all star athlete uses their product.

same brace as Peyton wears.  protects your obtuse angles of the leg that is most vulnerable as a right-handed thrower of the pigskin, your left knee.  John Elway, then Peyton, then Luck.  He's in pretty good company.

Precisely John Dee & Chrisfarley, I don't care if Luck looks like a overly protective elderly version of Clint Eastwood on the field yelling "get off my lawn" from the film "Gran Torino." Anything that prevents cartilage from ripping in the knee is a good thing. It's a very smart move to protect your knees anyway an athlete can. The sooner the better.
