Biggest takeaway from episode 3 -- the reason they left in the middle of the night was that the city of Baltimore was about to vote to force the Colts to stay through Eminent Domain.

Yep. That’s exactly right.

I was a freshman done at Bloomington when this happened. I came up and see my mom and she went to Ls Ayers‘ and got me a Colts shirt. She passed away in 1992 just eight years later, but this is just one of many memories that I have that makes me smile when I think about her

Yep and it’s a long known, albeit oft forgotten in the Irsay hate, reason.

Do you all think Indianapolis would of gotten an expansion team if Irsay did take them to Arizona? Building the RCA dome (the name I remember growing up) before having a team was a huge gamble that paid off.

Hard to think of the city without a football team since they always had one growing up. Along with having the Pacers. Didn't need a major league baseball team IMO. Cheap tickets to the Indians were good enough.

That's a great what-if. Eventually, but the jags and Panthers had to wait til 96. That was a full decade by the time the colts left Baltimore. Not sure how patient the people of Indianapolis would have been to keep paying taxes for a stadium that didn't host a team

    • If you go to the locked on podcast which was posted above You will hear about Carlies working as 3rd LB allowing Harrison to work at safety which I’m guessing is his more natural position
    • Colts are the 8th team Treadwell has been on since 2016.   He is absolute garbage. I worry about the talent in the WR room if Treadwell beats anyone for a spot on the 53.
    • My grandma used to say that only people could be boring, she lived in Mitchell Indiana and I used to spend my summers there. Thats how she would respond whenever I said I was bored. It wasnt much of a town, probably still isnt, but there was a whole lotta woods. I could entertain myself in the woods for weeks and never see a streetlight and I wouldnt shed a tear.   There are many others like me out there, and I think Pitt is also cut from that cloth.
    • Is Carlies playing at linebacker? (apologies if mentioned somewhere else) remember it was said he’d be moving there from safety during the draft
    • hard to say. where will any nfl player be in 2-3 years. not for long   he probably ends up being a swing guard. he could compete for fries within 1-2yrs, but ballard has a record of resigning his draft steals. He likely resigns fries to 2-3 years, even with Goncalves on the roster. And like Hoose said, I don't think he's replacing Fries or Nelson any time soon barring injury.
