When Will Peyton Release His Pro-Day Tape?

Surely he is going to put one out, something a bit more professional than the cell phone video that was leaked last week... dont you think?

I can't see any team making him an offer without solid evidence he is ready to play.

Is it really that important? Seeing him throw now is not indicative of how he'll be able to throw in 6 months.

It should be clear that he's not fully recovered at this time. In the farewell press conference he said he felt good but still had a way to go. Let's face it, he's not going to undersell himself when he's about to go on the market. The good thing is that PM has grown to rely as much on his ability to prepare and make adjustments at the line more than his pure physical abilities. Still, to not evaluate his condition by the bidding teams is potentially a foolish error.

Yes but how do you evaluate what his abilities will be in training camp? He can throw now, it's the accuracy and distance in question and both of those will improve in the coming weeks. Yes, it is foolish to throw money without seeing what he can do but teams can structure a contract to fit the questions, the important part is finding a system that would best suit the QB.

Would PM accept a contract that does not obligate the team to pay him until he can show them he can throw at an NFL level?

I swear I read he is going to work out for the Cardinals today, or already did.

With that being said of all the rumored teams he is interested in the Cards are my choice. A lot of indoor games. A great WR. Just watch out for the Harbaugh squad. They can hit and hit hard.......just ask Eli.

From Mort's latest...

"Manning did not work out for either team but he openly discussed his progress from neck surgeries that caused him to miss the 2011 season. Manning already had released his medical files related to his injury prior to teams that have requested the information.

Manning has stated he has made considerable progress throwing while his nerves have regenerated and his right arm has strengthened to the point where sources say his velocity has increased, he is able to throw the NFL's traditional passing routes and his distances have routinely reached 50 yards."

Mort also said that Peyton has "extensive video footage" of him working out and throwing, that he has made available to the Cardnals and the Broncos...and that those are the only two teams that he's really considering.

He has turned down "visits" and told the Redskins, Seahawks, Chiefs and Jets that he's not interested...and as of yet, he hasnt accepted an offer to make a visit to the Dolphins, either.

Manning has extensive quality video to show teams and is not believed to be opposed to working out for teams he identifies as finalists. However, he has acknowledged a willingness to financially protect any team that signs him in the event of a medical setback related to his previous neck injury and surgeries as he did last summer when he rejected a fully guaranteed five-year $100-million offer from Colts owner Jim Irsay.

Yeah, how mind boggling is it that Irsay wanted to make it $100 million and FULLY GUARANTEED...and then a few months later, cuts him from the team...just crazy...makes you understand why it was rumored that the NFL talked him into hiring Polian back in the day, or else they were going to take control of the team away from Irsay...kind of like baseball does when a team is being ran into the ground by crazy owners.
