Likes and dislikes from the Miami game

Most everything.   The team didn't seem ready to play.   Penalties.   Luck holding onto the ball for longer than he has all season.  Reich was off his game too.   Obviously the Luck as receiver play was dumb.   While it worked, the risk is way too high. 

 

 

You're not the first poster to comment on the Luck as a receiver play,  so I might as well get around to explaining it.

 

First,  in his post-game press conference, Reich said that was NOT the play as it was drawn up on the board.    It was not intended to be the quick hitch pass to Luck that it turned into.    Then, Reich said he was NOT going to reveal what the play was SUPPOSED TO BE.....    he said it was an audible done by Brissett and Luck.     He didn't seem real happy about it.

 

Then... 

 

Luck walked in for his post-game press conference and Reich apparently didn't tell him not to say anything....    because Andrew was asked about it and immediately fessed up....    the play was SUPPOSED TO BE a run by Brissett.    But the two audibled and that's what they came up with.   Luck absolved Brissett for not throwing a better pass saying it's hard to come in cold and just fire a pass on a key play like that.     Luck added he thinks his days as a receiver ARE OVER!

 

So....     there you have it...    it was supposed to be a run....   and the players changed it...

 

Let's move on......

If that is the case, I hope Frank lit them up after the game.  The play was successful, but the risk of injury kind of makes the call pretty dumb.

It was very dumb.   No need to even line Luck up as a receiver.

the Colts uni's  did not like, blue jerseys and gray pants and gray helmet would be nice.  Was too blue
