I appreciate the emphasis they place on academics and graduating as well.

Texas defense still killing it!

If Texas beats USC, I am not sure if it is a good thing for Stanford. I guess any USC loss is good but we lost to them :(.

You're right. I should be rooting for USC to make the loss look better. I'm just think Stanford might struggle a bit this year regardless.

From what ESPN is telling me, Keller has had a slow start tonight.

I miss Kevin Hogan. We have lost so much talent to the NFL the last few years.

Did you ever meet NewColtsFan? He had gotten me involved in the Scout Stanford forum but I had to pay for it. I did not like the format. I paid for about 6 months, then ended it.

Me too. Hogan was so great for us. I hope he gets a real chance in the league.

Nope I haven't met him. You have to pay for the premium version right?

Yes, premium. The site is called The Bootleg. NCF was very active.

If the format had been like the format of this Colts forum, I would have continued to pay for it.

By the way I thought Hogan was Good but he wasn't no where Luck status. Lets see what Holder brings to the table. Usually Stanford has a solid O.Line so let me see if they do.

Hogan was not anywhere near the talent that Luck was. But he was a winner. I always felt we had a great chance to win.

Wow. Texas almost had a huge loss there.

    • A lot of points - a few points
    • Thank god! So I can easily watch it without being up all night!
    • I fully agree with this. I’m not thrilled with Cincy having another Primetime game…   Bengals do not do well under the lights…
    • Its not about "yes men". Its just what it is. They are his lieutenants. They are in place because of him. They think like he does. He likes the way they think. He chose them. He's molded them. They will build the team with his fingerprints on the updated product, whether they realize they are doing it or not. They are "from his tree". Its just how it is. They are his guys.   NOTE: I believe either one would do a good job and I believe Chris Ballard himself would be honored to have either one of them step into his shoes. Well, about as honored as someone can be who has just lost their job.   I don't know anything about running a professional sports team. I only know I like watching it. But I do have significant experience in building and leading organizations. This is just how it goes.   If you (and by you, I mean anyone making this kind of decision) wants change, but you replace Chris Ballard with anyone from inside his organization, you are going to get a slightly different version of the same thing.   If you want change, you have to start over. Otherwise the stumbles will actually hurt more in the long run. Change or dont change. There is no in between if you want to succeed at something like this.    Now, my personal opinion: I don't think this team is far away from the ever elusive sustainable success (even though it feels like it some games). So, firing Ballard means one of two things: Either starting over or getting a little bit different version of the same thing. Neither one of those choices makes any sense at this point.
    • This has been my complaint for several years, now.   After this play, the runner got away with a flagrant foul!   Why is it that this runner can get away with grabbing the face mask and then keeping his hand on Jones’ jaw and not getting penalized?!   To upper management, do you have the guts to make this a new violation for the future in the NFL?   This sucks!   Mr Irsay, do something about this!
