Hypothetically, if we had a mid 1st round pick, and Belichick was on the trading block, would you pull the trigger? Or would he cost more than a 1st rounder?

We got him from the Jets for a 1st round pick. However, he was just starting in NY when NE snagged him, hence a 1st rnd pick. Coaches aren't usually on the trading block so its rare to give up a pick for them.

John Gruden was traded from the Raiders to the Bucs for two consectutive 1st and 2nd round picks, and that was in 2001 or 2002. I'd say Belichick, in today's coaching market, is worth considerably more than that in comparison IMO...
