The problem

With our defense I think can be summed up in 2 ways.. scheme/playing calling as one (new DC may help that)....and the 2nd....a lack of a feared, defensive stud.  Look at the top defenses, they all have 1 defensive player that teams must stop, thus allowing allowing the supporting cast to be better and do their jobs. We don't have it. It's not mathis, it's not Davis....can Anderson or Parry or even Langford be that guy? Possibly but I think that's part of our problem....so I pose this question, who out there that would be available either FA or  in the draft "could " step into that role....

Great question,but I believe a better question is. Do we have someone who could recognize that kind of talent.at this point?
