randall is nothing special. if the cowboys were confident with starting mcfadden or randall, they wouldnt have been trying to trade for a RB for the last couple of days.

its not about what they traded. they were linked to ball, west, now michaels. they were actively looking for another back. you can only assume they were not happy with the backs they have now

Remember,  conditional likely means if Michael becomes the starter,  that the pick can be more than a 7.

 

Perhaps it becomes a 6, or maybe a 5?

 

But typically that's how it works when picks are conditional.....

This guy has some serious upside...I'm not a big "backup RB 'X' is the next great one, he just needs his chance"...but having seen him play in college, he has some serious talent...in fact, he's the most talented runner in that backfield as of right now...

Michael looked pretty good as a back up to Lynch so there is some hope that if called upon he could produce behind that sick OL. Its not like the competition is fierce at RB in Dallas.

Regardless, the situation will amount to a committee approach as it stands.

Ito the best line in the league. This will be his best season thus far. It doesn't mean he won't get hurt. But, michael will be behind him and randall, maybe even Dunbar

No, it's a  conditional 7th rounder, not a conditional pick. Meaning that the Seahawks get the 7th IF some conditions are met, like he's on the roster for at least 4 weeks, etc. The "conditional" is a 7th, ONLY a 7th..
