But a.m.....Think through the spin here./ He's saying what sounds good

Elway says he doesnt want Peyton throwing 50 times..nobody does..

......That's hyperbole, isn't it? ....Peyton hardly ever threw 50 times....

....You don't sign your QB for $15 mil and your top WR for $12 mil so you can hand the ball off 50 times..

watch the O-line signings and a new TE..That's where its at

Mark, we will see the Denver O look very much like it did the last 8 games where Manning handed off more. Elway's comments suggest that he understands he needs to keep Manning upright and also make sure he can get through 16 games at a high level. You do that by off-loading the O more to the run and striking a balance.

Remember you said that..because I respectfully disagree....

..You also have to win to get a top seed and home games.....

the Broncos dominate that division (although soon now the mighty Raiders will rule all of football as they once did) and they may not consider changing their way of dominating

....Denver has millions invested in WRs and soon, tight ends..and they have undrafted free agent runners.

You don't resign Peyton and Demaruiyus Thomas for 30 mil so you can hand off....2 of every 3 plays

Denver cycled down last year's attack because Peyton was hurt and the line was jumbled..

Come on. Weve watched Peyton Manning for 2 decades....He'll throw 30 times a game like he always has

I am not following you here. Elway saying the team will be more balanced and Peyton will throw less does not mean Peyton is going to morph into Russell Wilson. Elway only knows one way for a QB win late in their career - the way he did with Shanny brining in Terrell Davis to shoulder more of the offense. He is trying to create that will Peyton who is now older than Elway was when he won his rings. I think it is a smart move as keeping Manning healthy is paramount. As you said, things got changed up last year because Manning got hurt AND the team continued to win.

What Brady did last year, throwing 50 times in the post-season vs the Ravens and Seattle is not typically a winning formula especially with an older QB. It worked out for the Pats because they masterfully ran the shorter to intermediate routes which allowed Brady to get the ball out of hands quickly to avoid hits. It is no coincidence that he is the first and only QB to win a SB with 50 pass attempts. Just does not happen at all so I think this move by Elway is a great one for Manning. I am very interested to see how Elway shapes the team this off-season ...

Dont fall in love with formulas..or what people SAY..there is no formula for winning as Brady showed throwing 50 times a game in the playoffs last year

Because Elway is the GM..its a good spin to say Denver wants to win the way he did.

Elway played almost 20 years ago...the game has changed

They aren't going to run the bal;l 5-0 time sand lose to keep Peyton healthy

....Remember how Kubiak will have the QB roll out.

Then Kubiak told us he doesnt do that amd didn't with Joe Flacco. Its offseason and we're theorizing.

Elway wont shape the team this week.

They alreday have their key players,.,.they'll add some O-linemen and try to resign Pot Roast..

Drastic offensive change on ateam that won 3 straight division tiles isn't going to happen
