What Is The Success Rate Of A Gm

There are some here who think Bill Polian is a 1 shot wonder, having done it twice, once with Jim Kelly and then with Peyton manning. Under that view his overall success rate at drafting would be like maybe 1%. So is that where Polian should be ranked at about 1% success in all the drafts he has had? What is or should be the success rate of a Gm when it comes to drafting?

GM's do more than just draft, right? I'd say that Polian has a decent to good track record overall. He's made some bad decisions in the last couple years that haven't helped much, but overall he's done well....in the past. Recently, not so much. The NFL is fluid, and a person, no matter how great his past work has been, must be judged on his present piece of work. Presently, his work is suspect.

He should probably retire before it comes time to fire him, along with Caldwell, Coyer, and his son, Chris.

What? So Manning and Kelly were his only good draft picks? Manning and Kelly were the only good decisions he made as a GM?
