When talking about injuries in todays press coference, Pagano did not mention Whalens name at all so Im assuming hell be fine. Brazill Should return for Wednesdays practice as well as per Chuck. Should have 5 healthy receivers for KC hopefully.

@TribStarTJames: Whalen has a strained calf, not a foot injury. He's fine, according to Pagano.

@KBowenColts: Pagano expects Greg Toler, LaVon Brazill, Stanley Havili to be practicing Wednesday.

Toler will be a light practice then only feel 99.9 percent healthy and say he is not fully healed up yet and go back on the injured list maybe he will get healed by draft time then we won't have to draft a DB

No, draft a CB, drop Toler.  the dude has had how long?  If it was that serious then you should just be put on IR.  He is the one saying he doesnt feel healthy enough.  What do the docs say?

To think that it is only Toler holding himself out is silly. Do you really think the docs and coaching staff are like, "hey Toler, your ready to play, but we are totally fine with you sitting out"? I think his comments have been taken negatively by those who want to so they can create a narrative that he is a bad investment that doesn't follow normal NFL player protocol/standards. All accounts last week were that he was limping around the locker room still. He has obviously had a set back or two and I believe all parties are being cautious so he actually is able to play in the playoffs.

Now, is he injury prone? Probably, based on his time in Arizona and this year; but to think he is pushing to not play when he is healthy enough to do so is just out of line.

  1. A mild (Grade 1) groin strain may not be very painful and may not limit mild or moderate physical activity.
  2. A moderate (Grade 2) sprain causes moderate discomfort and limits or prevents running and jumping.
  3. A severe (Grade 3) strain causes pain doing almost anything and could include any of the symptoms below:
  • A stabbing pain in the groin area
  • Swelling and/or bruising that may develop several days after the injury
  • Inability to move the leg inward or across the front of your body
  • Loss of upper leg strength with certain movements
  • Muscle spasms
  • In rare cases, muscle deformity

Use symptoms (or the lack of symptoms) to determine your comeback timetable, not a certain number of days or weeks. Generally, speaking, Grade 1 symptoms usually disappear within a week; Grade 2 symptoms last 2-3 weeks; and Grade 3 symptoms can persist for 6-8 weeks or longer.

Hes reaching the normal time limit of a grade 3 strain recovery time period.  He said himself he learned not to play when hes not 100%.  Players have a say as to when they are going to play hurt.  Sounds like he has decided he wont play period if there is slight pain.  I think he's milking the clock, and that clocks about out.  Again, should have just put him on IR if it is that bad.  Im willing to bet he's just going to sit out til the playoffs.  If he doesnt play in the first playoff game, drop him.
