Way too early to tell.  It depends on how the guys develop the rest of the year, how the draft goes, how free agency goes, etc.

I wouldn't count Ballard out unless he has trouble returning to form.  Maybe Ballard/Richardson at RB.

Right.. I was saying I wouldn't count out Ballard from being the STARTER if he returns to form with Richardson as the backup.

1. As a fan of football, I like him. 2. He fills a hole on our offense 3. He's available 4. He would excel in our offense if given the opportunity.

Perhaps. It could be several things though. He could be trying to get a deal done soon but have moved Whalen up in case nothing materializes. He might try to make us appear less desperate for a receiver so the Browns stop trying to make us up the ante. Perhaps he is waiting for something else to fall into place. There is also a possibility they try to make noise in the postseason this year and trade for additional help in the offseason. I hope he doesn't believe the Colts are finished at receiver because they have a lot of work to be done there. The only "proven" thing in the receiving corps is TY Hilton and I believe he would play best as a secondary outside receiver.
