Broncos Go For A QB

Depending on how terrible Sanchez plays, Denver's season might be a lost cause before it begins.

If Sanchez pretty much blows the first 5 games and it's painfully obvious he's holding the team back, throw the kid in. Trial by fire. Give Sanchez a chance, but don't stick with him all year and throw the season if he's going to flat out suck. Who knows? Maybe a change in venue will light a fire under Sanchez.

If that D is anywhere near the level it was last season they might be able to carry any QB and offense all the way again. Regardless of how inept the offensive unit plays.

Its Kubiak we're talking about and he wants a mobile, roll out guy.

That's Paxton Lynch and its not Mark Sanchez....

....Sanchez has had a head start and he's already working with the veteran receivers.

But Lynch is so big and mobile and has such a good arm.

I dont know how quickly he can learn things...how quickly he can pick things up.

But he just got an all-pro left tackle and all the skill position players are vets.

And isn't Sanchez on a 1-year deal?

Broncos had intel that the Jets weren't going to take a QB, they also started calling teams starting with the Falcons at #17, I wonder if they called the Colts???

Apparently, Jerry Jones lost sleep that he missed out on Paxton Lynch, that is why he did not want to miss out on taking a risk with Jaylon Smith, which led him to refuse the trade up offer with the Colts in round 2, a chain reaction:

Reading Denver stuff...that's it.

Sanchez, Lynch and the 3rd stringer from Northwestern.

That's what they're going with...no more serious QB contenders to be brought in...

Elway and Kubiak know they have their guy, thus all QB talks stopped right after that draft pick. By the same token, they also know it will take them a fair amount of time to mold and groom Lynch.  They will adapt the offense to Sanchez strengths, much like they had to do for Peyton (and Peyton had to adapt too) and rely on their defense while the project QB Lynch learns and matures.  I doubt Elway allows him to go in before he's ready for having command of the huddle; however long that turns out to be.  Should be an interesting season for the Broncos, for sure.  and a very bright future potential in an Elway/Kubiak groomed Paxton Lynch.
