I will post what I can find.

Chigbo Anunoby - DT - Moorehouse - 6'4" 324lbs. From CBS Sports Draft Prospects, "Anunoby is a little-known prospect who gain late momentum leading up to the NFL Draft despite failing to stand out at the NFLPA all-star game. His potential lies in his explosive upper-body strength and surprising athleticism, making him a tough battle for any interior lineman. That combination led to several pre-draft workouts with NFL teams. Before 2012, Morehouse had only had two players drafted, the most recent being offensive lineman Ramon Harewood in the sixth round in 2010 by Baltimore.

Strengths: Good worker with a naturally big frame. Potential to fill out to about 325 pounds and not lose athleticism. Strong and won't get knocked back. Weaknesses: Very raw and from a small school, where the level of competition was a clear concern. Not especially quick off the ball."

Stephen Baker - OT - East Carolina - 6'8" 301lbs. From CBS Sports Draft Prospects, "Primarily a defensive lineman in high school, Baker didn't start playing on the offensive line as well until his senior year. But that was enough to draw interest from East Carolina. Baker was a reserve for his first three seasons, but started at right tackle every game in 2011."

Cameron Chism - DB - Maryland - 5'10" 190lbs (4.55 40) No scouting report that I can find. But this was a comment from CBS Sports, "09/21/2011 - CB Cameron Chism extended his team-high starting streak to 25 games. Chism had a mixed bag in week 3, recovering a fumble, but drawing a couple of penalty flags and was obviously a target for the WVU offense. - The Sports Xchange"

Kevin eagan - DE - Endicott - 6'4" 276lbs, From the Endicott Athletics Website, "

2011: Named Preseason All-American by Consensus Draft Services and the D3 Senior Classic

2010: Played in all 12 games as a junior...led all Endicott players with 94 tackles, including 45 solo tackles, 18.0 tackles for a loss and eight sacks..forced two fumbles and blocked a kick...named NEFC Boyd Division Defensive Player of the Year, ECAC Division III North Defensive Player of the Year, NEFC Boyd Division First Team Defensive Line, New England Football Writers Division II/III All-Star, and D3Football.com All-East Region Second Team

2009: Selected as a NEFC Boyd Division First Team Defensive Lineman…Named a ECAC Division III Northeast All-Star…Chosen to the New England Football Writers’ Division II/Division III All-New England Team…Selected to the D3Football.com Team of the Week once…Named NEFC Player of the Week once…Played in all 10 games as a sophomore…Led the team with 74 tackles, including 43 solo tackles…Recorded a team-high 16.5 tackles for a loss, including 2.5 sacks…Recovered three fumbles for 44 yards and forced one fumble

2008: Named the NEFC Boyd Division Defensive Rookie of the Year and a First Team Defensive Lineman…Played in all ten games as a freshman…Had a team-high 99 tackles, including 45 solo tackles…Recorded 12.5 tackles for a loss, including 4.5 sacks...Forced one fumbled, blocked one kick, and broke up one pass attempt." He ended 2011 with 104 tackles (53 solo), 23 TFL for -87 yards, 8.5 sacks for -54 yards, 3 FF, 3 FR, 3 INT, 3 QBH and 1 PBU. So about what you'd expect from a Div III player getting a shot in the NFL. It appears he totally dominated Div III for four years.

Antonio Fenelus - CB -Wisconsin. 5'8" 190lbs 4.68 40. From NFL.com/combine, "Fenelus has been a two-plus year starter at corner for Wisconsin. The solid man cover-corner employs good technique and footwork to be effective, although he is a bit undersized. He has fifth-round value in the draft as a capable special teams player and backup.

Strengths: Antonio is a heady player who lines up and diagnoses plays well to put himself in a good position to be productive. He reads run or pass quickly and is keen on reading receivers' hips to understand how to play them. He is a good mover to recover quickly when a player gets a step on him and draws his draft value from being able to make quick reactions on the ball once it's thrown. He can drive towards the ball or play quickly.

Weaknesses: Fenelus is undersized and doesn't have great speed for the position. He is able to put himself in position and be a quick reactor to survive on the outside at corner, but once a receiver gets by him he usually fails to recover. He could excel working in short areas out of the slot but will struggle to run with NFL receivers downfield."

Buddy Jackson - DB/KR - Pittsburgh. 6'1" 180lbs Only started one game in college career but apparently turned in an incredible pro day

Matt Merletti - Safety - UNC - 5'10" 200lbs 4.62 40. Two(2) ACL injuries in college. From UNC Site, "

I think Fenelus and Pellerin have a fantastic chance of making the team.

I've never seen Pellerin play so I have no idea I will take yours and others word for it right now. The only time I saw Fenelus was against Michigan and Oregon State and he did not look good in either of those games. He was helped a lot of rotating OSU QBs and very poor throws but a lot of times the guy he was covering had a good step or two on him.

Also here's a pic of the new OG from Iowa State, Hayworth Hicks. He was voted by the team as the best offensive lineman in 2011, so it will be interesting to see what he can do.

He's a big boy. May have to give up smoking though.

UDFA's have a hard time getting noticed at camp. You have to really stand out. The vets will eventually find 'that' guy. That UDFA that runs around at Mach 5 with his hair on fire. Does anything to help the team. That guy might make it. Hopefully we have a few of "That' guy, in CB's and DB's. But they have to be raw or they would be at least middle round prospects. Here's to hoping for gems that we find really didn't need all that much polishing after all.

SCOUTING REPORTS ON MICAH PELLERIN

Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com, Practice Notes from the East West Shrine Game stated:

Another cornerback from the FCS level who has flashed is Hampton's Micah Pellerin. Like Norman, he has a tall, lean frame (6 feet, 195 pounds), but not as much bulk. Pellerin struggled a bit with his footwork in coverage drills, but he's decisive in his movements with a smooth backpedal, getting to top speed quickly. He played with confidence on the field and didn't back down or look tentative against Big Ten receivers A.J. Jenkins [first round draft choice of the 49ers] and B.J. Cunningham.

Wes Bunting’s Practice Notes from East-West Shrine Game stated:

Small-school CB Micah Pellerin displayed a great feel in coverage Monday during one-on-one sessions. He’s slow in his drop, exhibits a good closing burst and despite getting a bit leggy at times he had the length to get his hands on a lot of footballs. Looks like a potential NFL starter at 6-0, 195.”

Ranking the Top 10 prospects from East-West Shrine Game, the National Football Post stated:

Just missed the cut: Hampton CB Micah Pellerin (6-1, 195) -- A tall, good-looking corner who can turn and run, and showcases good quickness/feel in off man coverage. Has a tendency to get a bit overextended when trying to get out of his breaks and close. However, he displays a "plus" burst when driving on throws and uses his length well to get after the football.”

NFL.com’s Pre Combine Analysis of Pellerin states:

“[Pellerin] displays his athletic ability when working to defend once the ball is in the air. He will need some developmental time covering bigger and faster receivers at the next level, but at 6 feet tall he won't get beat physically and is a strong player in all facets of the game.

Pellerin has speed and is a very technical defender in his back pedal and can ignite a powerful drive leg to come forward out of his back pedal and drive on the ball.” As a cover guy, he likes to play off, probably too far off for the next level [base defense at Hampton was cover three], but he is good to turn and run in a receivers hips once he gives up his cushion. He has speed to recover when beat initially off the line playing press and is an athlete when it comes to making a play on the ball.

“He isn't physical in run support and struggles to get off blocks. This will be a major problem for him at the next level.”

By all accounts, the best thing this guy can do is cover. With professional level coaching, (something each of the Colts UDFA DB's need) Pellerin has an excellent chance to make a 53 man roster at corner. In fact, Kris Kouffman writing for the Bleacher Report states:

Hampton has a reputation for putting out some surprising NFL contributors, and Pellerin should be the next among them. I saw the player live in East-West Shrine practices and he stood out as a smooth athlete with great frame and some ability to move and stay in the receiver's hip pocket. I believe he should make Indianapolis' final 53-man roster.”

Noticed that too. That whole pound will make all the difference. Seriously though, I think this guy has a good chance of sticking around.

    • I guess the whole question is the merits of the report. You report on his diabetes with tons of guesses and speculations and WITHOUT taking the side of the person who's been affected here and who's living and dealing with that condition. You report on the player being uncoachable WITHOUT taking the opinion of his coaches about being coachable or not(and BTW from what I've heard both from Colts and Texas coaches, this is resoundingly NOT TRUE). You report about him being immature and honestly, everything I've seen on the surface suggests the opposite. You report about his combine performance by giving it a pretty harsh reading(the video is in this thread and the account of what happened by McGinn is in this thread... People can actually go and look at what happened and make their own mind about whether the characterization of that workout was fair or not. I will just say you can represent the player stumbling in a drill and going again in various different ways and McGinn chose a specific way to represent it. It was the most negative way you could choose).    You know I had my own reservations about that outburst by Ballard at the presser, but the more I'm learning about Mitchell the more I actually believe in what Ballard was saying and the less merit those reports have in my mind. Maybe I have my own unconscious biases too, now that I have vested interest in Mitchell actually being good for us. I don't know     I guess ultimately none of it matters. AD's success or failure won't depend on some pre-draft reports... it will depend on how he handles himself from now on, how hard he works, his drive to be great and our staff's ability to get the best of him.
    • Hmmm.   ”Healthy excuses will be hard to come by.”    Really?   Richardson, who had less than a thousand snaps in college, then had roughly 200 snaps his rookie year.  There’s one.   And Houston has Stroud who had a great rookie year.  Aren’t most media predicting Houston and JVille ahead of Indy this year?  That’s two without any trouble.     I just think insisting on a division title because a fan thinks it’s time doesn’t stand up to much scrutiny.   Sorry, just my two cents…. And often not worth that much.
    • For me absolutely it does. If Richardson stays healthy excuses will be hard to come up with. As positive as I am with Ballard at some point we have to start winning. He bet on himself by bringing in his own home grown talent this year, what he does at safety in the coming month and a half has me worried as well. We were so close to winning the division last year with a back up QB that my expectation is winning the AFC south this year.    If they make it into the wild card game and lose then the seat is just as hot for me. If they advance further and make a Cinderella run then I’m fully back on board.
    • 3 straight losses for the Reds. They have their moments where they play well. But it’s time to be real. They aren’t a playoff team and will never be as long as the Castillinis own them and David Bell is manager.    De La Cruz is fun, but his career will be wasted on this team.
    • Am I reading this correct?   You think Ballard’s seat gets hot if the Colts don't win the AFC South?  Really?   So if the Colts don’t win the south but make the playoffs Ballard’s seat still gets hot?    Just making sure I understand your viewpoint.
