Something no one's thought of

When AR is healthy why not plan to play him and Flaco this way. Start Flaco 1st quarter and 2 ND quarter start AR. The defense will not know who will start 3rd quarter. AR will be getting his reps while helping us win games

Even if flacco starts I'd  have packages for AR. AR can make throws flacco cant and flacco is better at short intermediate  stuff

Will never happen if AR is healthy.  QBs (and the team) need to establish a rhythm.

What if you have an opening drive to then nothing till the 2 minute warning. So much for rhythm. What changes in the game will produce in a change of pace and confusion to a defense

That usually really screws up the locker room.

Its AR's team win or lose. We spent a very high draft pick on him and they want to see more data on his play before benching him. I like Richardson but he needs to be smarter when he runs and made better decisions when he throws bad passes. Everyone said he was inaccurate in college but Ballard needed a better QB badly to save his job and they were forced to choose AR because Houston took Stroud

    • I was undecided on Levis, Stroud and AR. I was ok with any of them. Didn’t want Young because of his size.    That said, this team would look vastly different if we’d signed Mayfield over Ryan. Mayfield is not elite, but he’s good enough to build a team around in my opinion.    I’m on the AR wagon now though. In my opinion it’s ride or die with him the next couple seasons.
    • What do you know about his personality?
    • I have to say AD Mitchell concerns me.  He is getting open but his lackadaisical play and personality are a big problem.  I don’t think practice will change that.  He is who he is.  He takes plays off and doesn’t concentrate.  It’s early but I’m not liking what I’m seeing.
    • I thought back to when I did my study/review of the QB's coming out in 2023.  I very much didn't want AR at the time.  For the reasons we are questioning him now.  He was inaccurate, and he was incredibly raw.  At the time, I was fully on board for Will Levis.  Interesting that he hasn't panned out all that well either. Really, if I were to do it all over again, I would have gone with my 2022 impulse, and brought in Baker Mayfield instead of Matt Ryan.  No, Mayfield isn't going to the hall of fame.  But he has a measure of competence and charisma, and can get a team to follow him into the minefield.  If we had gone that route, perhaps we wouldn't be in as much of the fix we are in.  Instead of drafting AR in 2023, we might have had a shot at DE Will Anderson.  And, thus, we wouldn't have needed to draft a DE in 2024, and might have gone with CB's Quinyon Mitchell or Terrion Arnold.  And the story might have played out a lot differently.
