TE’s

We have the lowest amount of targets to TE’s in the league right now. 10 total targets through 4 games. TE’s are typically a young QB’s best friend, so I find it odd.

Goedert had his two best seasons in Philadelphia with Shane calling the plays.

The TE curls, drags, etc are called often by almost every other team across the league.

Is it the RPO’s? The lack of trust/talent in our TE group? Any advanced statistics on how deep our TE’s are running their routes?

Tight end play is down throughout the league, it could be that defenses are covering them better or offensives just don’t use them as much for some reason, but it’s not just us.

To be fair we probably ran the lowest amount of plays also lol

There are only a few TE playmakers in the league, and we don’t have one.

So why would we design too many plays for them when they’re more valuable as blockers.  Occasional TE passes to keep the D honest.

Let’s try to get AD into the offense first.

    • Irsay surely wants colts fans to pack LOS…but at the end of the day all that really matters is butts in the seats…the only thing the financials need regardless of jersey color.   I do wish that the stadium was more Colts fans…but the product has been so poor these past number of years I’m sure many fans just want prefer to follow from home.
    • The 49ers are my favorite NFC team and I watch 80% of their games, and he’s a guy who can be good on the outside. Just don’t move him in as a nickel because he gets lost with regularity. Thats what got him on the outs in SF. They moved him inside and… eeeeeeeeh 😬.
    • yup, every time they trot gay out even on an extra point I just say well it’s a 50/50 parlay at this point. It sucks that if a game is on the line I am terrified if Gay is called upon for anything longer than 40-45 yards…and from closer I am still nervous at best. Terrible feeling. Kickers gotta make those points way more often than they miss from all reasonable distances. You know anything from 7-54 yards. Anything over 54 and I’m just going to say it’s a crapshoot for almost any kicker.
    • I think it’s not a major problem Bears fans travel well to start with and the short drive to Indy when they are excited about their team and Colts fans weren’t after an 0-2 start explains that one and again Steelers fans travel well probably better than any other fan base in the league.  You always notice them no matter where they are playing.  Once the Colts get back to playing teams like the Jags, Titans, Dolphins, and Bills it will be back to normal.
