I'm actually very high on him. I like him a lot more now than I did before the draft. He is still only 21. I might be the only person who thinks Darnold will play pretty well. I'm more worried about our defense and our opponents. We have an incredibly hard schedule this year. Thankfully we start at the Giants. My friend the Giants season-ticket holder said he will be upset if the Giants do not beat the Vikings in the opener. I think that is one of the few games that we might win.

I agree. I don't tune in to watch a game only to have to suddenly watch an interview while the game is going on. -
Well it depends on how we plan to run the offense. Steichen when hired said "We are gonna throw to score and run to win". But the way this team is set up I think we are gonna RPO to score and run to win....that changes the order of TE's with a premium being on the best blocking TE's vs route running. MAC and Ogletree are the best pair for the run, Granson and Coin flip between Woods high un reached ceiling and Mallorys workman like find a way pass catching ability to be one of the candidates for odd man out. If we truly are going to throw to score run to win, it Puts MAC or Ogletree as the coin flip odd man out. Kind of reminds me of the George Carlin schtick, "I never had a 10 but once in college I had 5 - 2's"

Hopefully the Colts pass rush will make our porous secondary look better than it is. But with Ebukam out I don’t think Latu is going to do it by himself. Paye and Dayo need to step up. Maybe someone will surprise us.
