so the grades confirm Jaylon Jones absolutely balled out.

playing great, fantastic. If it weren't for Brents and Downs playing so well, he'd hands down be my favorite rookie.

I also think we have a sleeper TE in Mallory, waiting for his chance.

I think Mallory would instantly get more production than pierce, overall, even split wide.

maybe that last part deserves to go in the unpopular opinion thread, who knows

I agree about the tight ends.  I think it’s because we really don’t have a do it all tight end.  Ogletree seems to find open spots well but he’s not a burner, or in other words someone who can beat a LB.

The other tight ends do one thing and another thing not so good.  Whether that’s can get open but can’t block or vice versa.

Woods seems to be another do it all tight end but he’s not healthy.  In the future, I see us going woods and ogletree as TE1 and 2

I just think it's weird we keep drafting TEs who are athletic freaks just to give them a combined 2-6 targets in a game - what's the point of that?

The grades confirm we have a very good SS in Blackmon.  The FS spot is the weakest secondary position now when all of the starting corners are back.  If Cross was drafted to be our future FS it’s concerning that he hasn’t been able to get more snaps up to this point.  I know he’s young and that could be part of it.  But we traded up to draft him.  FS requires a lot of read and react so it’s going to be a difficult task for a rookie.  The wrong read and it could be over.  Having a good veteran FS back there would do wonders for the secondary.

No, just means he hasn't played any snaps. So essentially was inactive.

Just a way for me not to have to post the same grade over multiple week stretches if a player doesn't play for whatever reason

Valid question.

Inactive and not playing are 2 different things, well kinda, I guess? Lol. I just used it to mean both here

But a good example would be Hambright, there has definitely been some games where he wasn't on the game day roster,(which means he was inactive), however, there's been some games where he was on the game day roster, but didn't play. So, technically he was still inactive because he didn't play, even though he was actually active (by NFL definition, game day roster).

IDK, that was a wild ride right there.

Anyway, tried to find a way to get rid of some repetitive unnecessary numbers. Instead of having (9) weeks of (NR) listed. As there is enough numbers to look at already. A nice break helps a little bit.
