1. We are close to the cap and could probably use that money on players that will help us more over the long haul

2. We are probably not going to interest LT because in all likely hood we aren't going to be a contending team and I doubt he wants to go to a team in the middle of rebuilding.

These kinds of moves make sense if you are a player away and you think tha guy can be the difference. We aren't in that kinda mood right now. Better to take the young kids and let them play and develop.
