This guys draft profile reads like he'd be the perfect slot receiver to take the Welker/Amendola/Edelman role.

and we should compare him to Welker/Amendola/Edelman??????

Alright bud, guy has never played a game and you have him compared to one of the greatest slot receivers ever

Get off your high horse

Scott never compared Adam's to those guys. He literally said (as I quoted above) Adam's has the skill set that would be perfect for the slot role from McDaniels' offense in NE.

Don't start jumping down his throat just because your reading comprehension is lacking, then you took his comment and jumped to your own conclusion (also see trying to use NFL Fan's comments to justify your position and having him let you know that you were inferring something that he never actually said).

Every team's #1 priority was stopping Petersen. With 8 and 9 man fronts you`d think TB would have had more TD`s. To state AP was terrible that year playing against stacked boxes is blind. Your QB was sacked 44 times which is telling. IMO AP carried that team and would have benefited from better QB play. Just my 2 cents! Good day!

Lol. How did Peterson do last year with Bradford there? How did he do this year with Drew Brees as his QB. Saints fans will tell you he stifled the team. The Saints performed much better without him.

I don`t think there is anything funny about my last post. Your just butt hurt because I have my own opinion about TB that goes against yours. 2015 is not 2017 with Brees. That`s a ridiculous comparison. AP has a lot wear and tear now. He is one of the greatest RB of all time and you hate on him and defend TB. Now that is funny. Dude still averaged 4.5 YPC in 2015 with a mediocre QB, 8-9 man fronts and a ton of carries. Now that was impressive at age 30. Future HOF!  You have your opinion, I have mine. Good day!

Smh. Are your posts always this negative? How difficult can it be to be hopeful about a player!

Btw, I did not write that what I liked most about Adams was his vlogs.

I hope we re-sign Teddy Bridgewater if he can play like he used to. I think he is underrated and folks judge him only on stats rather than how he played. He is not on the level of Luck or Rodgers, but he is smart, can read defenses, moved well in the pocket, and was good at situational football. I felt confident that we could win when he was our QB. In addition, he will not command a big contract, as he is coming off a major injury. That is key because we need to extend many of our valued players who otherwise will be playing on expiring contracts (Diggs, Kendricks, Barr, Hunter and others).

Now, if he is damaged goods, I favor going after Cousins, which appears to be what most Vikes fans want now. I like Cousins but he will command much more than I feel comfortable giving him.

Not always negative....  and if you read my comments I did say I hope he turns into a good player but I am not like most of the posters on this board that see automatic pro bowler every time we sign a player... So not negative just realistic.

You are right you didn't say that was what you liked most,   But it is the only thing you mentioned you liked.... besides him as a person.   I'm sure you didn't like the dropped passes you mentioned ...

Hope you get your wish on Bridgewater....  He will be in a tough spot if he cant get them back to a deep run in the playoffs next yr.  Everyone will blame that choice.

Hope to see you in the SB next yr

There was no mention of Antonio Brown and quite frankly those mentioned as comps weren't either.....they were Welker/Amendola/Edelman......

He has skill and his profile lends itself to being a good slot reciever.

Why don't you take your negativity, lack of reading comprehension and self righteous attitude elsewhere!

Pretty sure he did!    And then defended his comparison....   so maybe you should google "reading comprehension" before you start throwing it around

And if you would educate yourself on the 3 that you mentioned....  Only Amendola.  Spent anytime on a practice squad.  Welker and Edelman have played from day one on different teams.  So no they are not even close to consider comparable.

Could he turn out to be a decent player?  Maybe.   But I'd say there is a better than 90% chance he doesnt even make the team....

Welker was cut, cleared waivers and was eventually signed by the Dolphins after the Chargers released him.

Amendola did, in fact, spend time on the Practice Squad - which is the only competent point you made.

Both were undrafted by the way.

Edelman has stayed on the active roster with very little usage (outside of teams) in the first few years of his career. Drafted in the 7th round.

So to say that Rodney's skillset is comparable to those three players that earned their reps as their careers developed is a perfectly relevent comp. Especially given the fact that the roles they eventually played well and/or excelled in will be available due to the new coaching staff.

Like I said before, your overbearing antics may work on a less educated football fan, they do not, however, work on me.

Well I guess we will see......

BTW Edelman played consistently in all the seasons he has been with the Patriots.... May not have started but did play besides being injured.

Youre not as smart as you think you are

I'm just glad you admitted that you are in fact comparing them to Adams

    • I really want to win. It doesn't matter to me who the GM is. If Ballard, AR, and Steichen succeed and make us a playoff contender every year, I'll be fine with it and be happy to root for this team. I'm just sick of the losing and missing the playoffs. I trust Ballard in the draft, I trust Steichen as a QB guru. It's time for us to win, and if it's Ballard that does so, we won't have to do a complete rebuild, and that would be the biggest positive and best-case scenario that could happen.
    • Am I the only one who really hopes AR and Steichen end up being a success story and this hypothetical Ballard firing doesn’t happen?
    • You were picking better than me most weeks, just had unfortunate luck once or twice, I definitely earned that last spot. My average was pretty bad week after week.
    • You are missing out a rather LARGE piece of the puzzle in your factoring here. We had last season's win numbers with GARDNER FREAKING MINSHEW at QB practically the whole season. Love the guy and what he did for us last season, but he isn't exactly a world beater at the QB position. AR brings such a different dynamic to this offense and teamm, Shane is going to be chomping at the bit to get started this season. The sample size we saw from AR last season was small, but it was definitely encouraging - especially considering we were all expecting him to be much more raw and inaccuarte. He basically red-shirted last year, learning the NFL game and in Steichen's ear the whole time, while learning the playbook inside out.  Our team has fundamentally stayed the same as last season, which damn near won the AFC South with Gardner at QB for the love of god. Now we add AR to that mix, as well as some very interesting additions in Mitchell and Latu who could have very meaningful impacts. The fact that we are so under the radar is almost laughable - AFC South isnt going to know what hit it.
    • Great points!  I would assume the Irsay’s would conduct the interviews. If Steichen is given more control he would as well or the new GM could decide his fate like Ballard did with Pagano. Several ways it can go and we are a few years away from it even happening so who really knows. I’m hoping none of it matters and the team becomes a true contender and this discussion is merely killing time.
