We worked out a few different QBs not just Johnson. I think Matt Barkley was on the list too.

 

Might have been insurance for Brissett who’s looked a little dinged up recently. If Brissett recovered then we don’t really need another one.

Who cares?  He hasn't thrown a pass in the NFL in six years.

There are way too many question marks in the OP for the caliber of player that we are talking about...that is, sub-NFL/fringe NFL.

 

If we need another fringe NFL player on the roster, they cut Matt McGroin...I'm sure we can pull him in to watch Brisket hold onto to the ball for nine seconds every play...

We can hope, as a group, hope that Brissett's tendency to hang on to the ball improves as the game "slows down" for him.
