5 year overview Chiefs-Colts Rosters

Here is the obligatory syntax to save my soul from ruination from those that say "but this doesn't show (fill in the blank) " : This is a look at players from each roster filtered, to 5 years or less in the league, listed as 1st string on their respective team page. Thought this might speak in a limited way to Ballard vs. Grigson type comparison, however this does not show rotational players for each team or for free agents which are now starters for each team. I just thought it might be interesting to see over the last 5 years how many players are listed/considered first string from each squad and what it may reveal and what discussion it may spark. The first interesting thing I see, is that the Chiefs have taken a balanced approach to both sides of the ball over a 5 year span where as the Colts spent the first three years on offense, and only the last 2 on defense, this might be as much to speaking to team need versus management style but interesting none the less.

For the record - Chris Ballard was hired in May of 2013. this means he can't really be responsible for any Chiefs decisions prior to that. His first draft with the Chiefs was the 2014 draft.

Ok, well pretending there was a well placed and easy to find "EDIT POST" button, pretend I pushed it, lopped off the year 4 and 5 players and changed the # in the title to a 3.....lol I was half tempted to report my own post just because I didn't know that.....I still might ;)
