RIP Rashaan Salaam

ESPN is reporting that 1994 Heisman Winner and NFL vet Rashaan Salaam has died

Wow, that's sad. He's a beast in Tecmo Super Bowl III.

Very sad. He died way too young, like so many other football players. It is believed to have been a suicide, as a note was found along with a gun next to him.

 

I remember his Heisman year in 1994. He rushed for over 2000 yards that year. He was an important part of the success of the Colorado Buffaloes that year. I believe that same year Kordell Stewart  ("Slash") threw a Hail Mary to Michael Westbrook to beat Michigan as time ran out. It was a very exciting ending.

Guy was an awesome College Player and if I remember correctly his first year went well.  From there he was hooked on marijuana and it was all down hill from there.
