My 25.  I admit I don't know much about some of the older players.  And while I don't think he can make it, I couldn't leave Bob Sanders out of it .  Guys just barely missing out on the top 25 include Donovan McNabb and Ty Law

I do not envy the task the selection committee goes through to make those tough decisions. You vote on somebody that you know is deserving and that inevitably leaves someone else off that is deserving

I guess I never really thought about it but I find it hard to believe Chuck Knox is not already in the HOF.

Folks who try this out see just how hard it is to come up with only 4 to 8 inductees per year, 5 from the modern era, 2 contributors this year, and one Senior finalist.  This is the maximum, it could be less than 8, but I believe no less than 4.

 

But first, one must trim the list down to just 25....  later it will be 15.... then....

Very true. It would be very hard to decide who is in and who is out.

After all is done there are so many fans either happy but more will be not so happy because it don't match their opinion.

John Lynch- should have been inducted last yr IMO. Love his intensity & hits. A fantastic analyst on FOX too.

 

Terrell Owens-Just to tick off Skip Bayless. LOL! He was a model citizen in Buffalo & Cincinnati man. 

 

How in the world is Darren Sharper a convicted rapist on that HOF list? That's insane. 

 

Jimmy Johnson. as much as I detest the Cowboys, deserves recognition for 2 rings basically 3 since Barry Switzer won a SB on Jimmy's roster that Barry road the coattails of. 

 

Edge of course. Kurt Warner absolutely. TY Law: You cost my Colts 2 more SB appearances, but you were exceptionally good so yeah, I'm cool with it. 

 

Sterling Sharpe? Ah, no way as in never because his WR career was too short.

I understand this.  OTOH, to me, someone who was the very best of the group (which also won the triple crown of receiving in 1992) that was forced to stop playing at his peak due to a medical defect in his upper neck, is different than a guy that had a longer career but only had a few great years and many average ones. 

 

But I get the longevity thing.
