I think some fell in love after the long td reception.and rightfully so Rogers has looked good. I hope he makes the team. He can obviously ball there's no question.

I think Smith is the better WR right now and his ceiling is higher. He has the size and athleticism that you can't teach. He is 6'2 205lbs according to colts.com ran a 4.33 40 at his pro day. His short shuttle and 3 cone times were elite faster than TY and Moncrief. He topped Amari Cooper's 3.98 and 6.71 times which were combined the better times I remember recently with 3.94 & 6.56. The correlation between sub 7. 3 cone and 200+!lbs for success as a WR in the NFL is very high..

This kid's ceiling is too high to cut IMO. I think this should be between Bray and Rogers if we don't go 6. Smith has at least WR2 potential. There aren't a lot of 6'2 200lbs+ WR's who run in the 4.3's. and have hands like Smith. He was a gift as an UDFA..I'd hate to see us give him away.

May that help Smith's case, that we have 2 very good starting caliber Z &/or Slot WR's in Hilton and Dorsett, who can play in each others role if necessary, so the Colts dont really need a 3rd "smallish", Z/slot guy .... while there's no other X type receiver behind Moncrief. Reading your post, Smith looks more of an X type receiver, than Rodgers does to me....

I think that will help his cause. I think the kid can be special. I'm not sure how he went undrafted. I have a buddy who's from Iowa so I knew who he was from the get go. I thought the long touchdown in the B10 championship game would get attention. Then his pro day numbers were very impressive. I was really surprised we got him as an UDFA. Iowa's O made it difficult to tell how raw he was. His hands have always been very good. I think of the three he is the best WR right now and his ceiling is much higher on size and speed alone.

I get the love for Rogers. He made a good first impression and has followed it up each game. I would keep 6 or cut Bray. I'm one who values ST's  so 6 would be my move. If they are considering 3 QB's we can find a way to keep both WR's and our return specialist.

Yea it is. My point is Rogers could get hurt and bray is the better returner

No, your point was:

I doubt they wanna risk Rogers getting hurt returning because he'll play significant snaps if any of the top three god forbid get hurt.

Which is blatantly erroneous. And I think you know that it is but you'd rather just try and skate around it rather than to admit to a mistake.

    • Cubs beat the Pirates tonight but the Brewers won as well, what else is new lol. Cubs are now 23-16, Brewers are 23-15.
    • Couldn’t agree more! The chip on his shoulder is a very good look. That said, I have always valued the “clutch” gene in players.    It’s truly something that can’t be coached and can’t be taught. AD has IT! Period. Exclamation point! He has it. Name a better receiver in the college football playoffs/ championships ever…   You can’t teach that. He has it. He can be that guy. He is the 33-32 Colts over the Pats, 4th and 1, AFC Championship, game changer. He can be that guy… Will he? I have no dang idea. But does he have the ability to be? Yes! Resounding, yes!
    • I absolutely LOVE that Mitchell picked 10 as a constant reminder that 10 WR’s were picked before him.  That is a GIGANTIC chip on his shoulder.   So far I like everything I’m reading about the kid.  There may be speed bump or hiccup some day….  But so far so good.
    • I got a Colts tattoo on my calf with the score of the Super Bowl for all the Bears fans that live in Iowa to look at as a reminder.
