If we draft a RB I want Collins

Recommended Posts

Didn't we draft him last year?  Oh wait, that was a different SEC back who was slow and fumbled a lot.

I have confidence that if we keep drafting these running backs in the late rounds we'll get a different result.  (Isn't that the definition of something?)

CJ Prosise

would love Prosise as well....just don't want to spend a 3rd rounder on him.  ..but i certainly won't kill them for grabbing him in RD3....to me, he's the best value at RB.  ...the thing is, i think there will still be very good defensive players available in RD3  ...would prefer to go defense and then go Collins in 4 or 5.

I agree but I think he'll be there in the 4th. Wasn't even the starter last year until someone got hurt. CJ himself was banged up too and missed games. Well see.

Not really,    plenty of great backs have come in the late rounds

There are 31 other teams.   Plenty of good backs have been drafted late

No doubt.  I'm specifically referring to OUR drafts.

This regime has truly embraced the diminished RB opinion.  They're going to keep looking for that late round gem.  Hasn't worked yet, so is it a waste of a pick?  Well, we had Ballard for a year so it wasn't a total failure.  But a guy for one year out of three picks is a pretty bad history.

Yes, I know the old argument, Brady was drafted in the 6th.  That doesn't make the odds are any better.

I'll take his former teammate, Jonathan Williams

^This. Williams was an animal before his injury and would be a perfect RB to learn under Gore to eventually take over as our feature back. Without the injury, he would've easily been in the 2nd Rd conversation. If he could be had in the 4th-5th, I'd take him.
