The future of our O-Line?

What do you guys think? I know a lot of people we're impressed with Good but I'll wait a few games to make my opinion on that. Castanzo and Mewhort are our rocks. But the question is what about the rest? Do you guys think we'll go with Thornton at RG? What about the Center position? And RT? Reitz has impressed me quite a bit at RT. so do we go with Thornton and Reitz and sign or draft a Center early? or do we sign a big name Guard or RT in free agency? Thornton has gotten better each week but IMO. Unless he's a beast from here on out I would at the very least draft a Guard in the 2nd or 3rd round or sign a good guard in free agency. I think we should do everything we can to make sure we have a good OL next year with no weak spots. And not just do nothing and wait around and hope someone who hasn't shown much turns into a good lineman (Harrison) If you ask me I think as long as Thornton keeps developing and as long as Reitz keeps looking good at RT, I think we should either sign Wisniewski to solidify the C position or draft a Center. Then we should draft a guard in the 3rd round for insurance purposes. I'm not sold on Thornton. What about drafting some combination of OL in the 2nd and 3rd rounds? A Center like Voltz or Martin in the 2nd, and the best G available in the 3rd. Drango may be there. But anyways what's you guys's opinions on how you think we should address the line this offseason.

Drafting an O Linemen to come in and compete with Holmes and Thornton would be wise if the value is there in ANY round, Thornton in my opinion has all pro or pro bowl physical talent if he can cut down some mental mistakes and build his stamina a bit by toning up especially around the middle. I'm not ready to give up on him but I do wonder about his work ethic and to be honest I am not sold on Mewhort either...At least as a run blocker

What do you think about Reitz?

We still need a new center. Some depth at tackle would be great. I wouldn't mind upgrading RT, but Reitz is adequate.

Yeah that's kind of what I'm thinking too Supe. What do you think about Voltz or Martin? IMO if we drafted one of those guys and Thornton keeps developing then we could have a really good looking line next year.

I've said for a long time now that he should be starting at LG because his chemistry with Castonzo is pretty good. I'm not quite as high on Mewhort as most either. I think he has his moments but I don't see a real road grader in the run game and that's imperative if your a Guard...Or Center for that matter. I like him. He is an overall solid pass blocker but to me leaves a lot to be desired in the run game. Overall the fundamentals is what bothers me most of every one of our O Linemen across the board

I really haven't watched any linemen yet, so I can't say. But it would be great to draft a couple future starters on the line.

I'm also not totally opposed to the idea of signing Alex Mack, assuming he opts out.
