I'm not certain this entry should be allowed. Though technically the Colts may not have picked in round 1, the contest rules did state that it has to be submitted before the draft starts (in Dr.T's words in post 1 - but only up until the contest is closed on Thursday, May 8, 2014, right before the draft starts). It gives the benefit of not having a Deonne Buchannan or Marcus Smith that a lot projected for round 2 and that is one extra player in the list of 3 choices that the user mintor does not have to factor in, that IMO is an advantage when you have 3 choices.

 

Besides, this is a terrible copy and paste job with guys like Darius Slay, Trevardo Williams etc. from last year's draft in the list.

Defjamz26 and SoLongSatele are the only ones that got Moncrief right originally but Defjamz26 removed him in his updated version. :)

 

Hence SoLongSatele is ahead.

 

I know. Should have kept him. Had I known Ward and Buccannon would go that high, I would have kept him. Lol, this has been pretty fun though and a good draft. My first draft experience on the Colts forums. I'm holding out we get Justin Ellis or Marcus Roberson late

OK! So the Winner of this year's draft contest is:

1st Place: HGRekks who got 3 points for Andrew Jackson in the right round but C choice

2nd Place: SoLongSatale who picked Moncrief, but in the B choice of the wrong round = 1 point

Tied for third place: both 0.5 points for picking Andrew Jackson in the c choice of the wrong round: coltnorth and ColtsBlueFL!

The rest of us got a big fat 0!

Congrats again to HGRekks  ...  and to the rest of us .... there's always next year!

      Like I said blatantly throwing to a covered receiver is *ic, you continue to mention the likes of Marvin, Reggie etc. what did all those guys have in common? You can’t Double cover them all, Hence one being open. Which you throw to them, why? Because they’re open. These are all NFL players , yes some are better than others but they are Professionals at the end of the day and have made a NFL roster. You’re paid to catch a ball regardless if the game is on the line or not each catch should feel routine no different than the next.

      Yep, people forget Peyton threw to the likes of Bryan Fletcher in a critical AFCCG and even a defensive lineman Dan Klecko, lol     Brady made a career around seasonal WRs in David Patten, Deion Branch etc. Drew Brees spread it around too. Mahomes has been doing that too since he lost Tyreek Hill.

      Just curious, other than height, weight, speed, and ball velocity; do we know how AR measured in other athletic drills?  3 cone, shuttle, bench press, etc.  He moves like a guy who might not score very high on those others.  JMO.   Not that I would expect a QB to do those others drills.  Its just that this idea of his athleticism we have maybe comes from our imagination and hope rather than anything substantial.  Its like because he scores a 98th percentile on HWS, and throwing distance, we expect a 98th percentile for explosion and body control to come with it.

      No to Smith being gone. Yes to Kelly being gone. Smith, when healthy, is one of the Top 10 RTs in the league, I still believe that.
