       Several rule changes were implemented during the Owners Meeting in Orlando last week.  Today's "Twosday Twofer" will focus on a couple of those changes.

 

 

   Thumbs up - OR - down on:  Allowing the field crew to confer with the officiating department at NFL headquarters in New York during replay review ??

 

 

   Thumbs up - OR - down on:  Allowing the recovery of a loose ball to be a reviewable play beginning in 2014 ??

Thumbs up on both...BUT, I hope this doesn't lead to 10 minutes of discussion before

they get back to playing football.  Make it a quick decision and I'm all for it!

Depends. Does Jeff Triplette now work as the sole expert authority in the NFL officiating department? If so, the NFL is doomed. Seems #2 is the same as a turnover and recovery by the same team, so OK ...

Finally, the league did 2 sensible things regarding rule changes. Thumbs up on both counts here.
