Jim Kelly Battling Cancer....

Tough day to be a Buffalo Bills fan....

 

Not only does their only owner, Ralph Wilson die at age 95,  but their greatest QB, Jim Kelly is battling cancer.

 

And it appears he's having a terrible time of it.   He's having another round of surgery and his wife has gone public saying not only is this a return of a cancer he's been battling against,  but it's very aggressive.

 

I think it's cancer of his mouth, and if I had to guess, I'd say he's a victim of using chewing tobacco.

 

When your spouse is going public with news that is not encouraging,  it's a very bad sign....

 

Time for thoughts and prayers to go out to Kelly and his family..........

If anyone deserved a ring, it was Kelly; loser of four back to back to back Super Bowls.

Good luck Jim and the Kelly family. By all accounts Jim's a gentleman and the real deal. He was one hell of a player.

Jim Kelly has always been a stand up guy... and I'm praying he pulls through. Cancer is a scourge that needs to be eliminated from this planet.

I was going to say... always struck me as a genuinely good guy. Very sad to hear this news. I'm praying for his full and speedy recovery too.

The guy walked away from his career... and focused everything on his son who was dealing with his own illness at the time. Jim's Hall of Fame speech was one of the most heartfelt ever.
