I like this signing for the Jaguars. Low risk high reward. Probably means the end for MJD too in Jacksonville.

 

This is one of a few good signings from the Jaguars over the last couple of days. First Bryant, then Beadles, now Gerhart.

 

All they need is a QB and they have plenty of options in the draft. This team seems to be turning it around.

I agree he isn't really starter caliber but he did avg 7.9 ypc last year...and has always been a nice backup to AP. That said I don't see the playmaking ability you would like to see for that money.

***asterisk*** 7.9 YPC on 36 rushes. That's little more than one game for a regular starter.

 

Like you said, I've never been impressed when I watch him. He's slow and doesn't strike fear in anybody.
