(We cut Satelle)

(We sign C Alex Mack, DE Antonio Smith)

 

Draft

Round 3 Pick 5 (CLE): Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU (A)
Round 3 Pick 12 (CLE): Christian Jones, ILB, Florida State (A)
Round 3 Pick 28 (S.F.): Michael Sam, DE, Missouri (A)
Round 4 Pick 18 (G.B.): Anthony Johnson, DT, LSU (A)
Round 5 Pick 24: Antone Exum, CB, Virginia Tech (A)
Round 6 Pick 24: Brandon Thomas, OG, Clemson (D)
Round 7 Pick 21: Spencer Long, OG, Nebraska (D-)

 

(I traded our 2nd to get back two 3rds, and traded back from our original 3rd to add a 4th.)

 

We now have a formidable front 7, including a great pairing of ILBs in Freeman and Jones, added pass rush with Sam at OLB and Johnson and Smith at DE to share time with Redding and RJF.

This is my offseason based on optimism. But anything can happen with the combine and all so we don't know where guys will be drafted. I just made this post because it would basically solve most if not all of our issues.

I'm with ya...if we got them both I would like that very much.

Wouldn't draft a WR so early with so many needs on the defense. I think most of the draft will be defensive ILB,CB,FS, and DE in that order. We might draft one offense player late in the last round but the defense need more play makers besides Mathis.

In a word --- no.

 

Especially for our two which will be low in the round,  in the mid-50's.

 

No team is giving up two 3's for that.

 

Sorry.   Wish it would happen,  but there's no chance......
