.... LeRon Landry....   it appears he's been mostly a no-show for the first three weeks of OTA's...  at least,  that's the impression most here seem to have....

Was it asked and did Kevin have an answer??

Hate to have put his picture on the side of a milk-carton...    "Have you seen this Safety?"

On his twitter he is posting pictures of him working out and running(says he ran a 4.42 the other day). Also he has a picture of him on the scale(with shoes on for some reason) tipping the scale at 230lbs

Sheesh he is hulking it up.

Yeah, agreeing with HTown. Laron is VERY active on Twitter. He's always posting pics of him in the weight room. The workouts are "voluntary" he doesn't have to come

Start worrying if he doesn't show up to Mini Camp & Training Camp

Factor in the shoes and he's probably 3-5lbs lighter

Don't usually weigh yourself without shoes unless you are trying to lose weight. Also, your weight can fluctuate 4 pounds in a day pretty easy. He could play at anywhere from 215-225. Dudes pretty ripped though so don't see him dropping a lot of weight.

I always take my shoes off when I go to the doctor and get weighed

They weren't NFL shoes. They were some neon nikes sneakers

Well,  then those should be dramatically lighter....    Nike doesn't want to make heavy workout shoes...   I can't imagine that...

One would think they make shoes as light as they can make them....

I don't buy nikes,   but that would be my guess.....

I really hope he is training/lifting properly. In the NFL you MUST workout your entire body and not just (like many DBs do) your upper-body. The wrong kind of training can leave a player open to injury...and I wonder if this has played a part in his previous injuries. I know he has some nonsensical notions regarding health and healing. We'll see. And regardless of the workouts being voluntary or not, this is a new team for him and I'd rather he be here for everything.

Thanks.....

Are we sure they're Nikes??    I'm only asking, I'm not saying.

They don't look like it to me....   you're younger,  you'd probably know much better....

Personally, I wish LaRon was closer to the 220 the team lists him at....    I suspect that's the weight they'd like him to play at.

They're Jordans, part of Nike. But Jordans to be specific

Well,  he should be lighter...   230 is entirely too heavy....

But NFL shoes do NOT weigh 3-5 pounds....

ok ok, i can settle this one.  I was a wrestler for 15 years and weighed myself all the freakin time.  Shoes weigh 1-2 lbs.

EDIT:  I have a pair of shoes very similar to his in the picture.  just now weighed them and they are 1.3 lbs.

Really? They always tell me to just hop on the scale. In undies he could be anywhere from 220-225. Depending on what time of day you weigh yourself. But we don't play in undies :) only in the UFC, heb

    • Hey Everyone,   So, I just caught wind of Goodson's apology letter after dropping that short pass from Minshew against the Texans last season. Here's my humorous take on the situation:   "Dear Fans, Coaches, Teammates, and Supporters,   I'm writing to apologize for buttering up that short pass in the most critical moment against the Texans. Look, I know I'm the backup running back, but hey, I'm usually good for catching those short throws - emphasis on 'usually'. My bad for turning a routine play into a blooper reel moment.   To my teammates, sorry for making you wonder if I was secretly playing for the other team. Next time, I'll practice catching more than just footballs thrown by the water boy.   To the coaches, maybe let's reconsider throwing short passes to guys who have hands that are more slippery than a greased pig at the county fair. Just a suggestion.   And to the fans, thanks for turning my drop into a meme. I promise to work on my catching skills so I can make highlights, not lowlights, next season.   Sincerely, Goodson (aka the running back who should stick to running)"   Okay, maybe I exaggerated a bit, but you get the gist. Let's hope Goodson has been hitting those catching drills hard this offseason!
    • I remember looking for highlights of TJ after we drafted him.  I kept finding videos of him following OJ Howard into the endzone.  Not sure if Howard was his responsibility, but it didn't paint a promising picture.
    • Ballard,   So, yeah, about that whole "bust" thing—I guess the cat's out of the bag. Turns out, I'm more of a popcorn fart than a thunderclap. My bad.   When you drafted me, I thought I was gonna be the Colts' next big thing. You know, sacking quarterbacks, making highlight reels, maybe even getting my face on a cereal box someday. But instead, I've been about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.   I've watched the tapes, Coach. I've seen the memes. They're comparing my NFL career to a hangover—starts off with high hopes, and ends with regret and a lot of Gatorade. And honestly, I get it. I'm like that guest who shows up to a party uninvited and ends up eating all the chips.   So, here's my mea culpa. I apologize for not living up to the hype. For every missed tackle, every missed sack, and that one time I accidentally tackled our own quarterback in practice (sorry, Philip). I'm like the guy who brings a guitar to a party and insists on playing Wonderwall—I'm annoying and not nearly as good as I think I am.   But hey, I'm not giving up. I'm hitting the gym, studying film (mostly bloopers at this point), and practicing my touchdown dance for when pigs finally fly. I promise to work harder and maybe, just maybe, I'll redeem myself and earn my place in the Hall of Mediocrity.   Thanks for believing in me, and letting me live my dream for 4 years straight whilst simultaneously producing nothing for your team. I'll make you proud yet, even if it's just by being the team's MVP of Bust Central, and we aren't talking bronze heads.    Sincerely, Ben "The Bust" Banagous (Not sponsored by Gatorade yet, but a guy can dream)
    • if you scream MODS! in anything I write,  I might get in trouble. hahaha
    • MODS!  This should be enough to force you to bring back the laughing emoji option!   Funny stuff!
