Mock Draft Post Cut-Pacolyps

Recommended Posts

Round 1 Pick 1

Andrew Luck QB Stanford 6'4" 235lbs - No Explaination needed.

Round 2 Pick 34

Coby Fleener TE Stanford 6'6" 247lbs - With us cutting Dallas Clark a pass catching TE is needed. Fleener fits the bill and watching Stanford play this year he has GREAT chemistry with Luck, add in the size and speed and this kid could be a steal.

Round 3 Pick 65

Marvin Jones WR Cal 6'2 248lbs - He is a great route runner with really good body control and great hands. Could be a great playmaker for us.

Round 4 Pick 98

Jamell Flemming CB Oklahoma 5'11" 206lbs - Best suited to be a Press-Man corner, not as strong playing off the ball, but has great ball skills and is an excellent tackler.

Round 5 Pick 130

Audie Cole ILB NC State 6'4" 248lbs - He showed great vision at the Senior Bowl and also has the ability to transition from 3-4 to 4-3 which would be great. He is quick and versitile.

Round 6 Pick 161

Ryan Miller OG Colorado 6'7" 326lbs - He has tackle size but the speed and nimblness to pull and trap Moderate Pass blocker but Great Run Blocker. He could be plugged in from day one and be a solid OL for years.

Round 7 Pick 194

TJ Graham WR NC State 5'11" 182lbs - Really fast with the ability to be a return man. sometimes has issues with hands, but runs fairly good routes.

I didn't grab a NT because I have a feeling that will be addressed through FA, but if we end up trading Freeney I would imagine that pick could be used for Ta'Amu if early enough for Josh Chapman. Same going with the Comp Picks, if we get a 4th I could see Champman being selected there.

already got a pass catching tight end but other picks I like, Id love to see PHYSICAL corners, I think we can get by taking a wide receiver in the middle to late rounds, we desperately need a corner and DT, honestly I just dont see us going and getting a big name free agent then again this a new regime

Who is our pass catching TE? Dallas Clark was just cut and Tamme is a FA, so right now we just have Eldridge and he is more of a blocking TE than pass catcher. Flemming is a physical corner. Everything I read on him says he is a Man corner, and his weakness is zone.

With the DT, with the slow transition of learning that position we almost NEED to pick one up in FA. Even if it isn't one of the top FAs. Then we could grab Chapman with either the pick from Freeney, or our Comp. Pick from Session.

Session signed with Jacksonvillie last year. so we should recieve a comp pick for him this year. they have yet to announce them, so rather than assume what the pick would be, i usually just put out there the idea of who I would target given the round.

Tamme is likely to be resigned. Only if he isn't resigned it's worth going for TE. This TE class overall isn't that good in comparison to years past. There are better players than Fleener that are likely to be around.

If he is resigned then I think the Colts should grab the best CB available, the on that slips out of the first

I like Marvin Jones but I believe there is a typo on his weight. I prefer Josh Robinson, CB, from Central Florida at pick #34. I like Ta'Amu with the third pick because it is critical we build the defense first. Robinson is an outstanding athlete whom I believe will be a future star.

Yeah that should be 199 lbs. That is what I get for copy/pasting. Yeah if we sign Carlson or Tamme then I would be all for getting Brandon Thompson or a CB with the 2nd pick, or even Harrison Smith. The main reason I went Fleener is because Luck would have needed someone to throw to and I feel Fleener is going to be a Great player in the league and they already have chemistry.

40 time doesnt make a DB.

No 40 time does not make a DB and that is why LSU had a CB who was their fastest sit on the bench. Robinson is not just fast he is also quick with probably one of the best total performances at the combine. If you watch his game film he was an excellent cover corner even against top WRs. Mike Mayock of ESPN stated he thinks Robinson should go in the first round. I hope he drops to the Colts at the top of round 2.

    • The Brady cheat factor is factored in somewhat, but he was only accused of cheating once. In 2014 = DeflateGate. I think he probably did cheat that season and have said so many times. I think he knew and had the balls deflated. Having said that, he still won SB's in 2016, 2018, and 2020. He won in 2020 without Belichick on a different team. There is no evidence he cheated in any of those years.   The difference between me and most is, I put my hatred Biases aside when I do lists. I want people take my lists serious. Peyton is my favorite player of all-time and I hated Tom but going by all measures, Tom was just better, and it pains me to say it. I factor in everything. = Stats, Win shares, League MVP's, SB MVP's, Talent of a QB, Clutch factor, SB wins, overall wins, longevity, and eye test. Peyton only has Tom beat in 2 categories = He was more talented, and he won 5 League MVP's to Tom's 2. Statistically it was pretty even, by my eye test it was pretty even as well. I do think League MVP is a very important factor because it is an individual award, so that alone puts Peyton in the top 3. Winning that 2nd SB was big for his legacy too.
    • I think I'm still trying to adjust my brain to having taken a player I didn't too much homework on at a position I didn't think we'd pick. So it's a "me thing" currently... I respect him going BPA. And trading back and still getting AD was an absolute masterclass.  Who do you guys think we were trying to trade up for, Odunze or Bowers?
    • It was at the end of the game where the Pacers got robbed. Knicks clearly set a much more physical screen prior to Myles' screen, and it wasn't called. The kick ball was the major call, that call isn't reviewable by NBA rules and for some reason they reviewed it anyway. That gave the Knicks the ball and they went down and made to go ahead 3. Then that offensive foul screen call on Myles was the weakest call i have seen all playoffs. He barely grazed him. Pacers down 1 with 8 seconds to go and they call that?? Yes we got robbed, REFS even apologized the next day and say they got the kick ball call wrong. Almost everyone in the media wants NY to win but they even admit we got robbed.    Not really sure what you were watching but the last 2 minutes of the game was horrendously Ref'd. Haliburton didn't play well but the Reffing at the end almost made it looked rigged.
    • Anyone want to put odds on if colts play in Houston game one. lol
    • Agreed   Need health at QB and DBs.   This team could be scary
