He had a down year from a production standpoint, but the team and coaches in general did him no favors. It's hard to generate pressure when the QB releases the ball 1 second after the snap. I don't think The Incredible Hulk could generate pressure when that was the outcome of 80% of the opponent's pass plays.

His stats didn't fall that much. He went from 10 (maybe 10.5, I can't remember) sacks to 8.5 and 25 tackles to 19. His impact is felt during the week when coaches and players have to gameplan for him. But when your offense isn't putting up as many points as it used to, you can't rush the passer as well since the offense will run the ball more.

The main reason he fell in the Top 100 of the season was our record. Let's face it, the players vote more for players of the winningest teams. We went 2-14 so he didn't go any higher on the list.
