The majority of "foundations" in the USA have well-paid folks running the foundation - which leaves less $$ to share.

I don't know if he was aware or not.  He is NOW so we will see if he clamps down. 

This is why I only give to local charities.

There are several charities that give 99% of donations directly to those in need.  

The ones that advertise are the ones who have personal financial interest.

There is no such thing as a "non-profit" corporation.

 

Companies need to pay employees, cost of office buildings, cost of utilities, internet, and phone bills.

 

To be classified as a non-profit corporation, you only need to donate a vast minority of your profits to charity.
