Chemistry Aspect is Overrated

IMO, chemistry is not over-rated.

I think it is very important that a receiver and a QB to develop this chemistry.between themselves.

Yes, it takes time on the practice field to develop it.

100 hours of practice between a QB and a receiver goes a long way towards developing this chemistry.

100 hours of practice on top of the hundreds of hours of previous practice between a QB and a receiver goes further.

I'd agree with this if I thought the only reason the Colts were interested in Fleener was because he played with Luck. However, I don't think that's the case. I think the Colts like him because they think he will be a very nice peace in their system and even if we drafted RG3 I think the Colts would still look at Fleener very hard if he was there in round two. The fact Fleener played with Luck I thnk is just an added bonus to them. It's not like the Colts are the only team that thinks Fleener might be worth a second round pick. In fact other teams seem to like him so much he might very well be gone before we pick. Weakness at a poistion like tightend in a draft will only drive you up a draft board so far.

Yep there is a reason why Peyton Manning did the things he did with his WRs, I am sure it wasn't just because they liked to play catch.

We don't want Fleener because he was Andrew Luck's team mate.

we want him because he is a top TE prospect and we need TEs.

whether we pick him early to guarantee we get him has nothing to do with the topic.

the dude isnt close to a top prospect hes going in the first round probably but thats because of lack of a good tight end class, hes a starter of course but nothing near elite

    • Rick Mears or maybe Al Unser Jr when it really mattered. I have no idea who is even in it now days. . I didn't miss a race from 1991-2004, partied all weekend from Friday-Monday, stayed at my friends house that had a house behind the track every year. Ate barbecue, drink loads of beer, walked up and down Georgetown. Then things started to change, race wasn't the same, people were different; police got stricter, and they would just arrest people over nonsense, women used to even flash back in the 90's and it was left alone because that was our Mardi Gras. 1 time a year, a buddy of mine got arrested the last race I went too for a silly PI because he was stumbling around like 100's of others were, when I told police my group will just get him home, cop threaten to arrest me, at that point we had a stare down and I walked away. That was my of saying goodbye. Now I am at home, avoid the crowds and could give 2 craps about racing. Been like that since 2004. I remember when Mears won in 1991, he became the Joe Montana of racing. I was there.
    • By the way, I already put all my chips in the middle of the table when I put $200 on Indy to beat NY in Game 7. I walked away a winner and have stayed away from this series.

    • Pacers window is still wide open. This is really the 1st season this team has played together as a unit, they are young and everyone will be back next season assuming we re-sign Siakam which I am certain it will happen. It even took Joker and Murray a few years together to win it all, they failed in 2020-2022 for 3 years until last season in 2023.
    • Yeah, that's the thing, you never know when you'll win a championship or make it to the finals. Nuggets were up 3-2 and blew the series to the Wolves. One game was a blowout, and the other we just blew the lead. I'm one of the Colts fans who says the Colts underperformed with Manning only winning 1 SB, but it's hard to win championships. My Braves took 26 to win another championship after 95, and we were winning the division and making the playoffs every year. Nuggets were probably the best team in the West and we faced the wrong opponent in the playoffs. Injuries can kill a playoff run as well.    I hope you win 4 in a row, but if it doesn't happen, just think of the Pacers season as the 2014 Colts where you made the final 4. It's a season you should be proud of and hopefully you can build upon it.
