WarGhost's 2020 Draft Big Boards 1.0

Recommended Posts

For the first time ever, I present to the forum my own NFL Draft Big Boards. These are by position, as I have not had time to fully create an overall board yet. They will also change over time, so don't expect everything to be the same after the combine when I release my second takes along with (hopefully) an overall board. I hope you enjoy, and don't be afraid to ask questions and push for certain players that I might have too high or too low!

Marlon Davidson of Auburn, I feel, is better than Julian Okwara of Notre Dame, he should be No.5 amongst DEs, IMO, he can also be moved inside and played, is more versatile.

I knew I was missing someone haha. I like Davidson, but just not that much. I'd have him as my 8th Ranked EDGE, and will go ahead and edit that in. Thanks for the name, probably forgot a few others as well.

Good job. Have to respect anyone that publishes a deep board like this.

I will list some of the things that I find interesting in your board. Don't take it as criticism, since I haven't done my board yet and I haven't watched many of those players, but just... some things that I notice and are either much high or lower than on most other boards I've seen, or just observations that are notable to me etc.

- Bryce Perkins, Virginia top 10 QB. Interesting. I watched several games of Virginia but I never really thought of him as an NFL prospect. He strikes me a bit as a QB in the Jalen Hurts mode. I will have to look at him some more before I form a more sound opinion.

- Jalen Reagor over Henry Ruggs!! That's bold! Nice. I really like Reagor too. It's possible he will be very high on my board too when it's said and done.

-Can I just stop for a second and say something - that WR class is FILTHY! You will probably be able to get day 2 type talent in rounds 5-6 this year. It's pretty strong up top and then you add the depth! WOW!

- Adam Trautman at TE8 is a bit low for me but I have to admit I'm basing this primarily on what I saw in the Senior Bowl, which probably shouldn't be enough.

- Jared Pinkney IMO is way too high. He had a bad season and then went to the Senior Bowl and got beat by pretty mediocre DB class repeatedly in drills that are designed to favor the offensive player. I personally would probably have him outside of my top 10 TEs, but I will have to take a longer look at some of the other TEs in order to be sure about it.

-Josh Jones at OT9... kinda low. I have to watch more of him, but he's getting R1 hype

-Solomon Kindley IOL1! Interesting. Another one I have to watch more of then... I don't think I've seen him this high elsewhere.

-IDL - no Jordan Elliot from Missouri? Have you watched him or you just didn't think he's very good?

-Marlon Davidson - interesting that you see him as an EDGE. It seems like he's trying to make a switch to the inside.

- that CB class seems pretty nice too... The CB I think I will have much higher than a lot of people will be Cam Dantzler... he's kind of slim though, so I understand him being lower on people's boards.

-Bryce Hall is an interesting one if his medicals check out. Jaylon Johnson is one that I can see Ballard liking... he fits the profile of CB in our system.

- McKinney over Delpit... interesting.

@stitches Thank you for your input! I'll hit on a few things you mentioned as to my thought process:

- Reagor over Ruggs was easy for me. Jalen is extremely underrated and despite being 5'11, he high points the ball better than almost anyone in the class. That, along with his speed, makes him a very interesting player for me, and I agree that the overall depth is amazing this year!

- Josh Jones, though I like his tools, is very raw. I like his skillset, but IMO he's got a ton to work on before I'd be confident putting him on the field.

- Kindley, along with Lemieux, are grossly underrated by most board. The only knock on Kindley is that he actually might want to lose weight, but every other aspect of his game is top tier. He and Lemieux are both rated by many as mid-rounders, but they should be the top two IOL off the board IMO.

- I haven't gotten to the tape of Jordan Elliott yet. I've heard good things, but very little. He's coming up for me though, and I'll bump him up some for you lol.

- Finally, I totally agree with the CB sentiment. I think both the WR and CB groups are really good and really deep, and I think the top 8 CBs on this board should be starters by the end of year 1.

- One final point. You didn't mention this, but in talking about depth at some positions, I wanted to mention that I think this EDGE class is very top heavy. After the top 3 (Young, Epenese, Gross-Matos), the group is very underwhelming.

Thanks again for your input!
