All these big bucks getting thrown around to WRs here in the off season got me thinking. Who are in your opinion the best players at there positions. Lets start with offense, and if it goes well we can go to def.

In Order....

QB:Aaron Rodgers... (Big Gap).....Tom Brady-Drew Brees-Eli Manning-Matthew Stafford-Phillip Rivers-Big Ben-Matt Ryan-Cam Newton- Tony Romo

RB: Arian Foster-Adrian Peterson-Chris Johnson-Ray Rice-Steven Jackson-MJD- Michael Turner-Lesean Mccoy-Marshawn Lynch-Deangelo Williams

WR: Larry Fitzgerald-Calvin Johnson....(Massive Gap).....Andre Johnson-Roddy White-Brandon Marshall-Mike Wallace-Hakeem Nicks- Dwayne Bowe-Greg Jennings-Miles Austin

I noticed I didnt put any of the top$ making WR this year in FA on that list. Funny how that works...

QB: Aaron Rodgers ... (tiny gap) ... Tom Brady-Drew Brees ... (gap) ... Eli Manning-Phillip Rivers-Matt Schaub-Ben Rothlesberger ... (gap) ... Tony Romo-Matthew Stafford-Matt Ryan ... (tiny gap) ... Jay cutler.

I would place Peyton Manning right now with Eli, Phillip, Matt and Ben until I see his first game.

RB: Arian Foster-Adrian Peterson ... (gap) ... Chris Johnson-Ray Rice-Steven Jackson-Maurice Jones Drew-LeSean McCoy ... (big gap) ... Michael Turner-Matt Forte-Frank Gore-Darren McFadden ... (gap) ... Marshawn Lynch-Deangelo Williams-Shonne Green ... (fall of the table gap) ...

I may have missed someone that belongs above the "fall of the table gap" and I was tempted to stop at Darren McFadden.

RB: Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, Arian Foster, Maurice Jones-Drew, Darren McFadden

WR: Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Roddy White

IMO Andre Johnson is the most overrated WR in the league.

I don't know why Cutler gets thrown in the Matt Ryan/Joe Flacco category. He carries his team. The Bears had nobody to throw to, and the worst Oline in the league, yet he still had them at what, 7-2 before he got hurt? He goes down and their defense just about scores more points than the offense.

I don't know that they're the best backs in the league, but MJD, Marshawn Lynch, and Frank Gore are my favorite backs in the league. I like workhorses that run low and keep their feet moving. If you ask me Arian Foster is the beneficiary of the best Oline in the league, and a really scumbaggish cut blocking scheme.

For WR it's Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald. But man did Detroit break the bank for that guy.

Your list is close to what I have. Just switch Calvin and Fitz. Also replace Cam with Stafford.

    • I just read the article on Stampede Blue.  It’s an old clip of him dunking.     I’m pretty sure they told him not to do that during this time.  He did say he’d be throwing with the guys.
    • I am always impressed with the knowledge on this forum so I thought I would ask a question about the practice squad as opposed to trying to figure it out on my own.   We have a UDFA Dalton Tucker on the OL (Guard Tackle) Currently listed as 3rd team behind Q and Stills. He is my nephew-in-law and a great young man. He is a good OL with a lot of flexibility or otherwise the Colts would not have signed him. However would be a very long shot to make the team at this time due to the returning player and two OL draft picks.  The question is how many OL do we normally keep on the Practice Squad and what are the criteria? In all my years of following the Colts have just not paid attention to the details. If it came down to Stills or Dalton for the PS is Stills or Pinter eligible and would you put a more veteran player on the PS or would you prefer a younger player assuming you thought he could develop? Pay-wise do all PS players get the same? I also understand that PS players attend home games on the sidelines and practice with the team since they are designated as practice squad. Any information is appreciated as I will be following this aspect a lot closer this fall.
    • I thought he said he wasn’t going to play BB?  How old is that video?
    • Unfortunately, (Or fortunately) I have NEVER lived in Indy   I'm from Ohio, but would take Atlanta and Dallas weather any day of the week over Indy weather.     I could see the Colts in the playoffs or at a bar on Sundays (On the 2-3 years that I didnt get Sunday ticket)   I am waiting for my $100k check from the NFL !!!
    • Yeah AR, quit enjoying life and stop trying to stay in shape! Stop playing BB-bad for knees Stop running...bad for hammy and joints Stop lifting weights...might tear a muscle or tendon No cycling...too many distracted drivers out there Stop driving....again,too many crazy drivers No more showers...might slip in the tub Don't throw...anything....might hurt that shoulder Avoid going up or coming down stairs....you could slip and fall Play it safe AR....enjoy your summer and see you at camp! PS...don't fly either..lots of crazy things happening to planes
