I like Chark in the 2nd round.  Went into this off season looking at a lot of WRs.  Watched East-West Shrine and Senior Bowl.  The WR that jumped out was Chark.  At Senior Bowl, he led all WRs in catchs.  Went over the top and underneath, as well as blocking in the run game.  Mayock compared him to another LSU Alumni, OBJ.  Went back and watched tape.  He didn't get a lot of catchs like other WRs, but made the most of what he got.  Chark went to the combine and lit it up.  He ran a 4.34 40, and verted 40".  His draft stock has been rising since the Senior Bowl.  From a high to mid 5th round to mid to high 2nd.round.

My addition to this conversation.

Considering how weak our WR corps are, and FAs getting overpaid, looks like we'll turn to the draft.  Second round looks like the sweet spot for this class and we have 3 picks, so who do we take?

Miller is an absolute Game Wrecker! I’ve never wanted a player more in a Colts uniform than this guy! Go Blue!!

We need size. We need someone who can go up and pluck the ball out of the air. Zierlein has Sutton as a 2nd rounder so if he’s there I say take him. I’d also look at Equanimeous ST. Brown. 6’5” and ran a 4.48 40. Should be available 3rd round. I’m interested in Chark because he has the size and speed but I just wonder if he’s Stephen Hill.

I’d rank the top 10 WRs prospects as follows:

DJ Moore - reminds me of Percy Harvin with the ball in his hands. Attacks the ball in air and is great after the catch.

Christian Kirk - good football player with great work ethic. Safe player. Will be in league for 10 years.

Courtland Sutton - size and Speed is impressive.  Needs to develop the route running piece. Boom or bust prospect with highest upside of the group.

Calvin Ridley - great start stop ability and terrific route runner. Frail and questionable ability in traffic. Not a guy who high points the ball.

Equanimeous St. Brown - size speed freak. Reminds me of Aj green at times but the lack of production in 2017 is quite concerning.

Michael Gallup - love what I’ve seen from this kid. Attacks the ball in the air and very good route runner. Strong hands and feisty.

Dante Pettis - Smooth route runner. Questionable hands in traffic. Sells double moves really well. Good return ability.

Antonio Callaway - Off the field concerns but talent similar to Kirk. Very good in the SEC as a freshman. Big play guy in college.

Jmon moore - Looks the part and displays great body control at times but inconsistent. Love the talent but has to continue to improve. Good size that sells routes well when he wants to.

James Washington - deep threat with strong hands that benefitted greatly from spread offense and lack of defense in big 12.

Just Missed the cut:

Anthony Miller

Trequan Smith

No interest:

Auden Tate

Simmie Cobb

DJ Chark

    • A lot is going to depend on the health of the secondary. Not a fan of the defense playing 10 yards off the WR either.
    • Gus’s problem is that he rarely blitzes a qb and relies too much on the front 4 to put the pressure on the qb! Every qb has basically smoked a cigarette and taken a nap before a Colts defender can even breathe on them! Im not saying to blitz every play, just mix it up enough to get in the qbs head! Open gaps for lbs to get through, especially in the middle against slower pocket passing qbs. Gus has been around too long and will be too stubborn to change though!😒
    • Besides the Pacers shooting yesterday, what really stood out to me was they didn't wilt in the big moment of playing in a Game 7 at NY - that shows Mental toughness. Haliburton was playing like it was a just another regular season game and just doing his thing. Also, the Pacers weren't getting bullied inside, Turner and Pascal did the bullying for a change. They are finesse players that usually just care about scoring mostly but yesterday they were banging down low and played really aggressive.
    • Yeah, Cus Bradley yes I said Cus I'm not a fan of his scheme if you want to call it that. So it doesn't matter who we have in the secondary it won't help. We could bring back these players in their youth again like Dion Sanders and Darrel Green and it wouldn't matter in my mind. I don't know why we hold on to a DC who has been 28 in total defense for two years. Bring in a DC with an innovative smart scheme that would confuse offenses. But what we have now is a defense that a JR high team could figure out. So yes the defense is a huge concern. We are going to have out-score teams which means our offense can make very little mistakes.
    • Besides Shaq and Barkley, I forgot that Shannon Sharpe took the Pacers as well in this series. He is just rubbing it in towards Stephen A and Big Perk. He even said, come to Indy baby where they have a great team and great food, because NY is sitting at home now
