Breaking the Super Bowl Champions curse.

Every Super Bowl Champion has either failed to make the playoffs or gone one done since the Steelers won Super Bowl XL

2005 Steelers did not make the 2006 playoffs

2006 Colts lost to the Chargers in their first playoff game in 2007

2007 Giants lost to the Eagles in their first playoff game in 2008

2008 Steelers did not make the 2009 playoffs

2009 Saints lost their first playoff game to the Seahawks in 2010

2010 Packers lost their first playoff game to the Giants in 2011.

I think the losers actually have it worse. I would have bet my life on the Patriots bucking that trend after the Giants beat them the first time, but low and behold Brady gets knocked out week 1 and the Patriots miss the playoffs.

Seeing how Giants play the way they do in the regular season, it's very possible that they'll be coming into the playoffs with another low playoff spot. but if they face the saints, niners, or packers at home, they may fall to this curse as well

That used to be if you lost the Super Bowl you didn't make the playoffs. Seahawks broke that after Super Bowl XL going to the playoffs and winning a playoff game. Since then the Cardinals, Colts, and Steelers have all gone to the playoffs after losing the Super Bowl and the Cardinals also won a playoff game. The Colts and Steelers both went one and done though so it all depends on how you look at it.
